ishel Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Move the MDS file to another folder and then try burning just the ISO file. (I was unable to post a reply in that thread - being new, maybe I don't have full posting rights yet) I am wondering what difference it makes to the resulting DVD if you move the MDS file and burn without it, as mmalves has suggested here?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 You lose the original info about the layer break. It depends on the image as to whether that's a problem or not, each one is different. If the MDS file is there, it should (and will) be used.

My problem was that I was getting an error message with the MDS file there, and when I found the post I quoted and moved the MDS while burning, it worked okay... and seems to have placed the layer break okay by itself (so far!) The error was of the nature that it seemed to be looking for a file within the ISO file and saying it couldn't find it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Well you could have just renamed the file to match what it was looking for
ishel Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Well you could have just renamed the file to match what it was looking for Oh... really? That would work? Hmmm... so, it only looks as if it is seeking a file within the ISO file? I am still unsure why it would look for a file with a different name. But actually, no matter really - since my burns are working okay, it seems - now that I have the right blank disks, thanks also to you!
