Recommended Posts

I follow http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555 guide to create .cue file for some .wav files.

After burned (successful), the disc is still empty. Both CDRW recorder & CDPLAYER prompt no disc.

disc brand is MAXELL

PS: I ever burned 2 audio discs before, they are OK.

Post the log from when you burned that disc (look in ImgBurn's Help menu for the previous burns logs).

The previous successfuly discs' .wav file names are both english. I use v2.4.2.0 to burn them.

The latter failed disc's .wav file names are non-english. Failed with v2.4.2.0 & v2.5.0.0

I use native english WINXP.

put the Disc in your PC and explore its content...

what do u see in it?

post a screenshot

It looks like a new blanc disc really.

IMGBURN can show it's TOC, once after finish. But its read operation is a little difficult, and explorer can display their .cda track files once.

Then I use foobar to play the disc, it prompt i/o error.

Once the tray is ejected and reloaded, none of them can show anything. It became blanc disc.

I remember I use NERO v5.5 (bundled with RICOH RECORDER) to burn the first album, .wav filenames are non-english, it's empty after burned.

Then I uninstalled NERO v5.5, install IMGBURN v2.4.2.0.

Then burn another album, with the same disc, filenames are english, it succeeded.

It seems NERO burn nothing.

You'd still get an entry in the log window, just make sure you haven't closed it down because it's a VERY important part of the program and is designed to be left open at all times.

I reinstall winxp, then burn the same album with the same disc.

It can't verify, messagebox says: Layouts do not match.

The filenames are all changed to english.

To me it looks like that media(code) is not supported in the firmware and it's using a generic write approach with the result that it can't read the disc it just burnt. I would try with another brand of media.

I couldn't find any later firmware for that drive.
