burnoptic
i insert a blank dvd+rw and try to burn some file to it.
mmalves
It seems your burner doesn't support that DVD+RW disc. What does ImgBurn show in the status bar? Something similar to "Medium Not Present (Reason)".

Cynthia
Can you switch to read mode and post the info in the right window under Disc Information? (just copy and paste it)
mmalves
Your burner doesn't recognise that disc, so you'll need to try with other discs until you find one that gets recognised and becomes usable.

LIGHTNING UK!
eSkRo, We already know what that drive can do! burnoptic, It's as mmalves said in post 7, you'll need to use a totally different disc, your drive doesn't like that one.
burnoptic
how you know what disc my drive support? are you saying my driver does not like this brand? all the disc i tested are from the same package.
LIGHTNING UK!
How do I know... erm well because this is what I do and I've been doing it for years! You have a common drive and I know what types of disc it supports. Yes we're saying your drive doesn't like the discs you purchased. Double check it can see original/pressed/silver CD-ROM, DVD-ROM discs (to make sure it's not totally broken) before then thinking about buying some more DVD-R or DVD+R. When you do buy some, get either Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden - they're the best.
