eSkRo Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 (edited) 1- Buy and use a DVD LENS CLEANER on your burner,,, Dust it Off... 2- Try burning your current media at all of the write speeds your drive says it supports for that MID (look in the disc info text on the right of the main screen to see what they are). LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Your drive is ancient (latest firmware is 2004!) and therefore will not fully/properly support the (relatively new - in the last couple of years) discs you're trying to use. Buy a new one.
Artizle Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 (edited) Well I can't go out and buy a cleaner now so I just sort of blew into the drive and it worked. So either I just got lucky or it really does need cleaning but I'm gunna go ahead and buy a cleaning disc very soon and hopefully this will end my problems. And yes my drive is pretty damn old but I'm trying to work with what I got here but if all else fails I guess ill buy a new one. Edited April 7, 2010 by Artizle
