My first time here, hello to everyone.

I have a SONY DRU-V200A DVD Burner.

I've used Image Burner in the past successfully, but now I'm getting this error after upgrading to Ver 2.5.1.0.

The DVD blanks are Phillips CD-R 52X media.

I also tried some TDK 48X, I've had stored in a cabinet for a number of years, same issue.

Funny thing, my Nero 9 has no issues with burning on either media.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank-you

Can you switch to read mode and insert a blanc disc and then post the disc info in the right window panel?

Load the program with no disc in the drive, go into Read mode, press the F8 key, insert a problem disc.

When the status bar says the disc isn't empty, press F8 again and click 'File' -> 'Save As' from within the Log window.

Save it to a file and upload that file here on the forum.

Basically, all that 'unknown' info is what's causing the problem - and there must be a reason for it all being 'unknown' (i.e. something isn't right with your drive/machine).

Here are two logs.

Each one was done after a reboot.

Curiously, if I select "Read" mode it says the "Disc is Empty".

Selecting "Write" mode, it says "The disc is not Empty".

I may have a spare CD/DVD drive somewhere, I'll go look for it.

Thanks,

Louis

Wow, never seen that before!

The OS (or some filter driver) is rejecting the commands.

What do you have in your filter drivers list? (Copy + paste via the feature in the Tools menu)
