Hi,

I am trying to burn an .iso onto a dual layer dvd. Whenever I attempt to do this the write speed is constantly at about 4x no matter what I set it to. I need to reduce the burn speed since bits of the move are laggy and around the change over 2 whole scenes (out of 14) won't play at all.

The most relevant line from the log (as far as i can tell) is:

Write Speed Miscompare! - Wanted 1,385 KB/s (1x), Got: 5540 KB/s (4x)

this is after setting it to 1x.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is the log:

I 16:31:24 Destination Device: [3:0:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N SB00 (K:) (ATA)

I 16:31:24 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x)

The bits in bold are the speeds your drive/firmware support the 'RICOHJPN-D01-67' dye at.

Supported write speeds are always shown in the disc info panel on the right when there's a disc in the drive.

2.4x is the lowest speed the DVD+ (plus) format ever supported so 1x wouldn't really be an option on *any* drive.

You should update the firmware on your drive to SB02.

Thanks for the reply.

I have updated the firmware and am trying again, however it still will not burn at any lower than 4x, guess I will just have to live with that.

I don't expect it will burn properly this time either, however will post the results.

Thanks for trying!

Thank you in advance
