Marc97 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) Hey, I am now using my laptop to burn my games and it doesn't seem to be working. I used a program called Nero Infotool to see if my drive can burn dual layer dvd's and the result was positive so that's why I'v been trying to burn on my laptop. I am using a Matshita BD-RE UJ-220 drive. When I try to burn in imgburn, it says "cannot write medium - incompatible format" I don't think it is the media because when I gave my friend one of my discs to burn Dragon Age Origins, it worked for him without a problem. I want ot know if I can do anything about this. Ive tried to look up the problem but I can't get any valid answers so I was oping you guys could help me out. this is the log from 2 tries. Marc97 Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 is that the ONLY reason, the media? It doesn't even start before I get the error >.<. I'd like to try whatever else I can do before I buy another pack of discs
eraldo Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Much of that topic and bs and speculation, its also to do with your dvd drive, some drives and or firmware just dont go well with certain types of dvds and their random dyes. Some drives will burn them as good as the real thing others with just stop with errors. However the topic is right about verbatims being the best as much as i am sick of hearing people say that in a topic.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 It's not BS and speculation, it's what we've found to be true over the past 5 years of running the forum.
