Well a while back i used to get errors whens using infiniti 360 dl disks with imgburn , it was an ezero divide error.

After seeing a topic on xboxiso where the guy was using a different brand mitsubishi but same dye jpn dye and getting a new error i decided to test these disks again hoping imgburn fixed the problem, but it seems its just been replaced by a different error.

Why can i burn these disks with other burning software but not imgburn what is the problem?

This is a drive/firmware/media combo issue. ImgBurn has no control over your drives ability to burn a certain MID. Either it works or it doesn't.

The EDivideZero issue used to kick in after DL disc had failed to burn - because the drive then returned an unexpected value for something. That problem has been resolved.

The I/O would have always been there during the burn and would have described the true reason behind the failure. In your case, the drive is reporting a variant of 'Write Error'.

If your drive can't burn the discs you've got nicely (notice the MID isn't being reported properly), don't use them.

p.s. SB06 firmware is out now.

But using nero i can burn movies to these disks fine, i also burned a large pc game to this dl disk with the same drive and had no issue.

ConvertXtodvd also had no issue with burning. i burned avatar using these disks.

Is there anyway to send reports to samsung so if this is a drive/firmware issue they can get off their arses and fix?

Samsung can't do anything regarding to disc quality.

As you can see Samsung is trying to fix what it can and LUK! gived you already the link to latest updated firmware listed on 3rd January, 2011.

Did you instaled it?

Stop putting it down to disk quality, that is not the answer to everything.

I bought this pack of disks when i was using my laptop and my laptop had a samsung drive also tsstcorp not sure of the rest of the info since the laptop is dead now but they burned fine back then.

Now on my desktop pc they do not, i can beleive they are not compatable with my drive and can accept that but if they work with the other samsung drive then im sure samsung can do something about it. This issue has nothing to do with quality if it did aone disks wouldnt work on anything.

and yes i updated to sb06 and tried another disk, this time it got the same error but at just 8%.
