sk@l
Hi, I want to burn this dvd where all layer break possibilities are rated grey and all splips are set to yes I read that the layer break should be as close to 50/50 as possible but never quite understand the significance of the padding in the process. In this case, the 2nd line is 50/50 and has a change of scene. So it would be my choice but the padding seems very high. The 3rd line has a padding of only 2 but is 51/49 and there is continuous music that might make the break more noticeable. What would you recommend? EDIT: Am I correct to assume that this image from cornholio7's guide How to create a double layer DVD Video image file using ImgBurn answers my question and that I can safely choose the 2nd line as the layer break? I read this explanation of the padding by LIGHTNING UK! The whole purpose of 'padding' (beyond the normal 0 - 15 sectors to align on ECC boundary) is so that the cell you want as the LB one is valid whereby L0 >= L1 in size. but it is still not very clear to me. Or should I just ignore it as long as it does not create an excessively large image?
LIGHTNING UK!
Don't worry about padding. If number 2 is at a scene change, go for that one.
