I have a VIDEO_TS folder consisting of VOB and IFO files of 7.63 GB. I have installed ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 version on my laptop. Now, I want to burn this complete folder on DVD9 of 8.5 GB successfully, without any errors during burning, so that I can enjoy the movie by playing it on my Pioneer DVD player. Earlier, 3 blank DVD9 was wasted. Hence, I would request you to give me the complete step by step information/guidance about how to burn this folder. Your prompt action in this matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you very much your guidance. As per the details given by you, I wrote/burn the DVD9 and watched the movie. I didn't enjoyed to view, as it is giving pauses in between. Please help me out.

You seem to be burning and verifying at 1x... so either your machine has a problem or your drive does.

Try following the DMA post in the FAQ and uninstalling the 'controller' entries from under the 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers' branch in device manager - then reboot.

Or try using the 'Reset DMA' feature in ImgBurn's Tools menu.

Thanks for your every feedback and I have tried as suggested by you and when I watched the DVD on DVD player, the picture & sound quality was just superb, but what i saw while watching the movie, is many a times red, blue & green color spreads over on clothes, faces, trees etc., why I don't know. Please if you can help me out in this matter. I am playing it on my DVD Player Pioneer DV-383

Posted

Burn another disc and provide a new log please.

Once you're back running at the proper speed, if your player still has issues then it's unrelated to the burning process itself.

Thanks for your replies and co-operation in the subject matter and finally, I succeeded in making DVD.

Now, I have an AVI XVID file around 4.5 GB. How should burn this on DVD, so that I can play it on my Pioneer DVD Player DV-383. Please help me out.

Posted

Google says that Pioneer supports DivX & Xvid playback to it may play those files unconverted.

Its an old player though, so my suggestion would be to write to an RW to test.

Greetings to you Boss

Posted

I tried writing the file in a simple way on DVD-RW, but it didn't work. Is there in other process in ImgBurn, where in, I can convert and burn the XVID (AVI) format into DIVX format on DVD. Please help me out.

Posted

A lot of players only play AVI files when using the ISO9660 / Joliet file systems (*Not* UDF).

As the file is too big for (restricted) ISO9660/Joliet, you may have been prompted to switch to UDF. You'd need to ignore that and enanble the 'Allow Files Exceeding Size Limit' -> 'Multiple Extents' options.

If your player supports DivX it should also support Xvid. ImgBurn doesn't convert and I've already mentioned the names of programs that do - should you decide to take that route.
