Tom Saurus Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I design my DVD's with Tmpgenc DVD Author 1.6. It creates the Audio & Video TS Folders. I now use ImageBurn 2.0 to build the ISO images that I then use ImageBurn 2.0 to write to DVD. I have been using the tab on the side in the build mode to type in a volume label for the ISO Image to be built. It has been working well for me, up until today, when I upgraded to the latest version of ImageBurn 2.0 Lets say for example in the Volume Label Line, I type in the following: "MOVIE_DVD_1064", in the past that was accepted and when I would go into write mode I would see the line at the top "Volume Label: MOVIE_DVD_1064" displayed near the top of the program. Now when I write in the volume line, and click on the button that askes you to name your ISO file, it tells me "I've noticed you haven't got a Volume Label" and then asks me if "Do you want me to name it Volume 01". It ignores what I typed in, and this has me confused. I was really starting to like having this additional info encoded onto the disc, and I unistalled the newest version of ImageBurn 2.0, and went back to the original. But now it ignores my label as well, and when I go into write mode it says "Volume Level: Unknown". Can someone help me figure this out? I really like Volume Label Feature, and I hope I can start using the names I want assosiated with the individual discs. Thank you in advance, for any information you can give me, in regards to this matter.
dirio49 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 (edited) Ok, I just tested it. if you only input only form one system then it asks you but if you have both, it does not. very simple just use the button that LUK has put to make sure that both filesystem have the same label. Tom Saurus Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 dirio49: Thank you very much for the information you have provided. It was kind of you to take the time to find an answer to my question. I want to say thank you to Lightning UK for making ImageBurn 2.0 It does a nice job of creating and writing ISO files. I have alot of confidence in this program.
spinningwheel Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I have alot of confidence in this program. It is good isn't it?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 As windows displays the volume label from the 'best' filesystem, it's not enough to put one in the ISO9660 field and leave out the UDF one - basically, windows wouldn't display a volume label. For that reason, I made the program decided if you'd entered one or not in the exact same way.
dirio49 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 (edited) How come if you put only at the UDF volume label, Imgburn does not show the dialog that the volume does not exists? But it does for ISO and Juilet. Edited September 22, 2006 by dirio49
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 It only checks the 'best' filesystem out of the ones you've selected. So it check if udf is enabled first, and if it is, it looks at udf volume label - then quits. After that, it then checks if joliet is enabled, and if it is, it looks at joliet volume label then quits. Finally, it looks at iso9660 volume label.
dbminter Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 HA! I'm not the ONLY one who fools around with the label fields! And all the other beta testers LAUGHED at my dedication to Labels.
Kenadjian Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I must admit minty, at the time I thought you were the ONE.

dbminter Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 At last, I am given my due. Props unto me. As for being the One, I am the One that is, I am the One that was, and I am the One that will be. I am the Alpha and the Omega. And, as evidenced by my work here, I am also a Beta. Alpha and Omega be! Changed from glory into gory! :& Oh, what faith to trust me more!
