The thing is i can't seem to find the actual disc MID in IMGBurn. According to the changelog it should be easily visible. Well it aint for me. I insert a blank, go to explore mode and this is what i get. No MID present. Say i want to install imgburn on another machine and i've configured it just to my liking on my main rig. How can i configure it exactly the same on the other rig without having to swap back & forth between both machines and (un)check where needed. Is there some file like "config.ini" or something where imgburn stores user settings that i can simply replace on the 2nd machine and presto? identical settings?

LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 The command used to obtain that info must be failing for some reason. Go into write mode without a disc in the drive, press F8 to enable debug mode and then insert your disc. Save the contents of the log window via the File menu and upload it so I can take a look.

Ch3vr0n Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Nope. It's always active for me. During burning aswell. Afaik it can possibly only cause issues with verifying (which i never do anyway). I'll give it a shot when i get back from work in about 5hrs normally. Doubt it will work though.
dbminter Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 AnyDVD can cause problems not just with verifying. I verified that on two different computers with different drives, with AnyDVD enabled and VIDEO_TS jobs were burnt to DVD+RW discs, the Verify would fail. But, only on DVD+RW. And it was a weird failure. It failed right away and any attempts to burn to that burned disc, even with AnyDVD disabled, would also fail right at the start of the Verify. The only solution was to fully Erase the DVD+RW. Then, burning to them was fine again.

I saw myself in the log something about "invalid request" perhaps that ill have something to do with it. Can't remember it ever having worked from me

They need to be BD-R or BD-RE... it's a different command to DVDs. Your 2nd link just takes me back to this page. Did you mean the first link? That takes me to the place you purchased them from - but yeah, I can see the MID listed there.

It's the latest firmware on that and other drives, with 1 minor difference. Speedpatched with mcse. My bd-re's are from a few different brands, I'll see which ones do show the mid if any. I have no idea how or why it's doing that, but without the 'DI' signature bytes, my program ignores the response - even if the rest of it looks valid (which it does).

LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 It seems weird you'd get '01 42' from both drives where it should be '44 49'. Can I assume you've tried it in safe mode too in order to see if you get the same response? Are the drives connected to Intel controllers or something else?
Ch3vr0n Posted August 29, 2013 Author Posted August 29, 2013 Haven't tried safe mode no, about the controller no idea. Ain't that in the debug log. It does make me think if the speedpatch firmware isn't to blame. I still have the original fw, might flash that one to see if it makes any difference.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Ok, it really must be something else on your system then. Post a new log when you get round to trying it in safe mode. I'd even go so far as to boot into XP via Hiren's Boot CD or similar.
