jelectro Posted June 27, 2014 Share Posted June 27, 2014 When I load a blank DVD+R into my compact disc dvd + drive (rewritable) it does not recognize that the disc is loaded in the player but comes back with the error message "device not ready (medium not present). dbminter Posted June 27, 2014 Share Posted June 27, 2014 Try shutting down Windows, powering off the PC, leaving it turned off for a minute, and restarting. Then see if ImgBurn recognizes the disc. If the drive is external, power it off and leave it off for a minute. I've encountered instances where ImgBurn won't recognize media even though just a minute before it had and powering off the PC/restarting Windows was the only thing that fixed it.
