dbminter
When burning on the same level playing field, at 1x, which is faster? DVD+R or DVD-R? Or are the speeds relatively the same? How about for DVD+RW versus DVD-RW?
LIGHTNING UK!
The slowest speed the plus format ever really allowed for is 2.4x. They're both DVDs so the speed on both is the same for a given speed. If you want to take things like leadin and closing the track/session/disc into account, you'd heb to try it for yourself on your drive and see. dbminter
I should have realized about there not being a 1x for DVD+RW, as they started at 2.4x, a rather odd value. So, even if we leveled the playing field at 4x for both, the speeds would still be the same.
LIGHTNING UK!
Yes, 4x DVD speed is the same for both formats.
