KeyserSoze Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) I am trying to burn an Audio CD from Apple Lossless m4a files and I get this error: ConnectFilters (Source, Sample Grabber) Failed! I installed both of these DirectShow Filters but still feceive the error when adding files to the cue file. M4A - CoreAAC - http://www.free-codecs.com/download/CoreAAC_Directshow_filter.htmM4A - ORBAN - http://www.orban.com/plugin/ or http://www.free-codecs.com/download/aac_aacplus_player_plugin.htm Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated, KeyserSoze ImgBurn.log Edited November 21, 2015 by KeyserSoze
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Do you have any m4a files that do work ok? It could be something specific to the ones you're trying to burn - or neither of the filters have installed properly.
KeyserSoze Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 I tried other .m4a files both Apple Lossless and regular .m4a files neither work. I also Installed ImgBurn and the DirectShow Filters again on another Windows 8.1 Pro x64 computer, same issue. Any Ideas? KeyserSoze
KeyserSoze Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 I am also getting this error see attached .jpg and bugreport.txt bugreport.txt
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Something external to ImgBurn is crashing there. Quartz.dll to be exact. I'd be happy to try one of the files you can't convert if you email it over to the address in the About box.
KeyserSoze Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) The files are to big to email you can get them here: http://www.solidfiles.com/d/708ddf9c1b/ Each files has a separate problem, the larger file I get the ConnectFilters (Source, Sample Grabber) Failed! Error and the smaller one gets the An error occurred in the application. See if you have the same problems, Bryan PS Burning a CD from flac files is no problem using madFlac v1.10 Edited November 21, 2015 by KeyserSoze
dbminter Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Often times with creating Audio CD's from files, I find random errors occur all the time. If you find one particular file format that works like FLAC, try downloading a converter for M4A and converting to FLAC. See if that works. I convert all the time for various errors and reasons with Free Audio Converter 4Dots. It supports FLAC and M4A. Often times I even have to load MP3's in it and convert them to NEW MP3's to get them to work. Big Finish Audio downloads are common problems I come across.
KeyserSoze Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 dbminter It's not just a few .m4a files it's all of them and converting to flac is not really a solution, I really want to solve the issue and get the m4a DirectShow Filters working.
ianymaty Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 The big file don't work with any of the OP listed DSF or plugin. The small file works with http://www.free-codecs.com/download/aac_aacplus_player_plugin.htm I can play the files in PotPlayer, QuickTime or even Winamp, not play in BSPlayer or WMP. They seem the same format but the big one is alac and the small one is MPEG-4 AAC LC, at least that is listed in Winamp when you hit Alt+3. After a little search, I found this http://dsp-worx.de/?n=15 After installing it ImgBurn complains the OptimFROG.dll is missing when you add the files. Download from here http://losslessaudio.org/Downloads.php and extract the OptimFROG.dll and OptimGROG.lib to your Windows\system32 folder or Windows\SysWOW64 if you are on x64.
KeyserSoze Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) ianymaty Great job man! I tested each one and found out all that I needed to make everything work was this installer File: DCBassSource_v1.30_Installer.zip Size: 662.54 kb Date: April 03, 2013 from http://dsp-worx.de/?n=15 nothing else needed and it even works with .flac files. I did not have the problem with OptimFROG.dll as you did. THANK YOU, KeyserSoze Edited November 22, 2015 by KeyserSoze
ianymaty Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Maybe you already have some codec pack installed, I don't install codec packs just what I need.
