bri46 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Player recognizes 4 GB file as "DVD-R AVCHD" then plays as Single layer disc fine.. Taking 8 GB file on same type disc and format on DL, player calls it a "Data dis"c and says "file not supported". SAME disc (created in Image burn which selects best break, plays fine in 5 year old Panasonic Bluray player! Original format created in IMGburn for copy to DL disc are ISO and MDS. Sony says use +R which did not work or use older model? Any thoughts?

dbminter Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Yeah, I once had a Sony DVD player that would not even recognize Sony brand DVD-R's when inserted. And this was back when Sony still made their own DVD-R's, not outsourced to Ritek. Needless to say, that player went right back to the store, because it failed to recognize 75% of what I threw at it.
