navarannan Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Friends Im so unhappy and frustrated. I have been trying to burn the blu ray files(BDMV and Certificate) folders on to blank disks for the past 2 weeks. Last week I tried with Samsung blu ray burner and 9 out of 10 disks failed burning. I purchased the asus turbo drive external blu ray burner and tried to burn it with nero, dvd fab and img burn and all the 3 disks failed. Media being used is 50GB dual layer original Verbatim disks. OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Im pasing the logs below(2 logs, one few days back and the latest one just now). What could be wrong? Please help friends. ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 - Log ; Wednesday, 07 September 2016, 22:05:50 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 21:10:50 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! navarannan Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 These USB drives you are using, are they all slim models? The samsung one was a slim model which was a usb2 one. The new one I purchased is not a slim one. Its Turbo drive BW-16D1H-U of asus. Just to add on I converted the bdmv and certificate folder to iso and then tried burning again. That also failed. LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 It makes no difference what you burn, the drive is going to error out regardless if it runs into an issue burning to the disc. Revert the 'Write Type' to DAO and stop believing everything you read about buffer sizes... 73MiB is utter nonsense. Enabling the 'Perform OPC Before Write' option in the settings (as already mentioned over at videohelp) and give it another go. If the drive still fails to burn both MID's of BD-R DL media at various speeds, get yourself another drive... maybe a Pioneer this time?

Don't want to buy another drive. This is the second I bought. Edited September 7, 2016 by navarannan
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 If that one is new, send it back as faulty and try another one.
