hpquintero Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Hey everyone. For the past 3 weeks I've been trying to Burn Backups of my games and its just impossible for me to burn the game. I already have the Game in My computer and have the .dvd file with the proper layer break. I am using a Pioneer 111D with Verbatim DL 8x Dvd's. I am writting at 2.4x with no programs running in the background using IMGBURN. I already had 7 COASTERS! I have also tried using Clone CD and nothing works for me! PLEASE HELP!! I'm getting really frustrated already because I can't figure out the problem . I also upgraded the pioneer firmware to 1.29 and that still didn't help. This is the new Error that the ImgBurn gives me. I/O ERROR! jack Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 W 14:59:38 Retry Failed - Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32) This sugests you may have some sort of DMA issue, it doesnt appear to be image or media related. Try resetting your DMA: See if this helps. I'm sure other more knowledgeble people will be along soon if this doesnt help.
crazyfastdodge Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 You can not play back up games on the xbox360 without modifying your xbox and that will void your warranty. I'm sure you know that already though. As far as this goes: W 14:59:38 Failed to Write Sectors 256 - 287 - Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32) That hasn't happened to me yet and I havn't seen any posts on this error. There are several people on here that will answer and help you. Lightning UK and others have helped me out soo much on this forum. I'm having some problems myself too right now. Someone here will help you soon.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Yes, you have DMA issues. Check you're using a decent 80 wire IDE cable. Check the drive is set to master / slave and that other devices are correct too. Positioning on the cable may also be important - the master drive goes at one end, slave in the middle, motherboard at the other end. Reset windows DMA using the info provided in the FAQ. Ensure the drive is correctly configured in your motherboard bios and that it sees the drive as Ultra-DMA 2 (or 4). If you have 2 drives on the same cable, try disconnecting one of them, it might be screwing things up for the other one.
lfcrule1972 Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 and don't forget to let us know if that fixed your problem
hpquintero Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 Thanks a lot for the help guys. And yes I will let all of you guys know if I fixed the problem. I'm just waiting for my friend to come over my house so we can both work on it. He knows a little bit more about computers than I do. So we should both be able to work out this problem. THANKS! -OSCAR
hpquintero Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Hey guys I just finished burning another game and guess what! ANOTHER COASTER! ..... I messed around with the cables that connect the motherboard to the Dvd-rom. I put in a DVD DL and the little window that had the "I/O Error didn't pop up". I was happy because I though I had figured it out but ended up not doing it. Anyways here is the Log for the burn I just made about 10 minutes ago. My X-box360 Still didn't want to read it. I have it flashed with the latest firmware. Any Advice? Oh yeah I also wanted to ad that my "Drive D:/ (Fat 32) is my Recovery Hard Drive so I have no idea why that's showing up on the log. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the DVD Burn. //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 - Log ; Friday, 16 February 2007, 19:38:49 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 16:38:59 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started! hpquintero Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 One more thing. I also upgraded to the latest firmware 1.29. I was looking at the log right now and I don't know why its only showing 1.23. Please HELP! THAT'S MY 8TH COASTER! OVER 16 U.S DOLLARS! I REALLY DON'T WANT TO WASTE MORE MONEY! I'M POOR ......LOL..... THANKS GUYS
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I 17:04:43 Destination Media Type: None! How the hell did that happen?! It won't work because it didn't burn the LB position properly - because your drive didn't report the disc type. It actually looks to me as if the drive is ignoring most of the commands it's being sent - it didn't burn at the requested 2.4x either. Flash the firmware to 1.29 again and keep an eye on it to make sure it says 'successful' this time.
