when i try to burnt his file i get this error everytime. my friend try to burn the same file and he has no problem. what could the problem be.

he is not.

it is just a copy of halo 2 and i only need the fist half of the disc. and it usually works.

 

i dont know what the error means.

When burning to DVD-R media the program sends a command to the drive telling it how much it's going to burn - that's what's bombing out here, simply because it knows the number is too big.

 

It doesn't send it for DVD+R (it's not required), hence no issue. It'll error out at the end of the burn instead.

 

So long as it's book typed to DVDROM I don't see any issue with using DVD+R over DVD-R. After all, DVD+R DL works ok - right?

so i should get soe dvd+r's instead of -r's?

it says failed to reserve track is that what u guy think is wrong the media type?
