PIPO Scan - Dual Layer

Played fine in my player. Im not sure what would cause the end to of the scan to jump like that.

Otherwise is it a good burn? Anything that can be done to get a better burn?

My new burner is the LG GSA H10L.

Also what speed is best used to determine quality for scanning? People often recommend 8x for single layer, but what about for dual layer?

Thanks again.

When you're doing scans, select 'Block' rather than 'Line', it looks a lot better.

Also, save your screenshots in PNG format and not JPG. They look loads better.

Burn DL media at 2.4x.

Obviously make sure both drives (writer + scanner) have the latest firmware.

The scan I showed was burnt at 2.4x and I just updated the firmware. What is the best speed to use when scanning for quality purpose in DVDinfoPro?

Also, would getting an 80 ide cable make any difference?

I think I got a couple exceptional scans on some old phillips media. Picked up these DVD+R's on the cheap and just made a couple discs for the heck of it. I got 2 tremendous scans I believe.

The 98% was with my LG H10L and the 99% with the LiteOn. Are these good?

The % of the quality score doesn't mean as much as the amount of PIF's and PIE's you get...the lower these numbers the better. Blu can elaborate more on the "out of spec" comment he made earlier for the low down. All in all they don't look too bad, but you should scan at 4X with your lite on as suggested.
