shniper Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Hello, I have been getting these errors very regularly and I have no idea what I am doing wrong. If somebody could please point me to a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. Thx! By the way, I am using a week old computer/writer, and I have flashed my writer to the newest firmware. Getting these errors with Memorex DL discs as well as with the Philips DL discs. Thx again.

The Verbs are the only reliable brand when it comes to D/L Edited September 10, 2007 by Carolina Mike
shniper Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 Is that 100% what the problem is? Because I've already spent over 100 bucks on discs trying both of these brands, and I don't want to go buy another ridiculously overpriced spindle only to have the same thing happen...

shniper Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 It might be cheaper to just buy the game I don't know what you are implying. It might be more beneficial to people if you just helped rather than police them though.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 You had your answer in the 2nd post. Ditch the Ritek/Ricoh dyes discs and get some Verbatims DVD+R 2.4x ones instead (MKM dye). Burn at 2.4x.
spinningwheel Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 It might be cheaper to just buy the game I don't know what you are implying. It might be more beneficial to people if you just helped rather than police them though. #1...We all know what he's implying... I 18:44:15 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 2.4x) #2...Your choice of media is crap...no matter how much you spend on it...it's still crap. Do as we recommend and buy some TY's or Verb's and get it done with. I don't know who told you that Memorex are some of the best discs but they are full of crap also.
chewy Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 It might be cheaper to just buy the game I don't know what you are implying. It might be more beneficial to people if you just helped rather than police them though. you have already been given good advise to use verbatim, if you search this forum you will find that same reccomendation countless times you said you has spent over 100$ on disks already and that someone had said the crap ones were the best to use from what I have read the best/reliable disks are made from backups, not downloads??????????? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=2831&st=0
shniper Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 Thx for the help. Tried a Verbatim, with the same error. Could this be a problem with the drive connections? After receiving the last error, my computer is no longer detecting the drive or opening the disc tray, even after a restart and scanning for hardware changes.
spinningwheel Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Post your failed log from the Verb disc please.
