dontasciime
Check your hard drive for errors, defrag it, do not do anything whilst burning check for something hogging hard drive at time of burn and change to verbatim media. If you still get same check the FAQ on dma issues and change ide cable to 80 wire or try replacing the existing 80 wire with another and check for motherboard updated drivers to ata storage etc, if using nvidia ide drivers just use standard MS ones
blutach
The media we recommend, as donta says, is Verbatim +R 2.4x DLs - MKM-001 Made in Singapore. They work! Regards

LIGHTNING UK!
You're still not using Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001 Made in Singapore) discs. We recommend them because they work, not for the fun of it. Please at least give them a shot. If it still doesn't work after that then we'll try and help you some more. LIGHTNING UK!
The crappy DL discs are always hit and miss. Just because it 'works' doesn't mean it's actually giving you a good burn. You could have been borderline for ages and only now (as the drive wears out or the media quality dropped a bit) are you having actual failures. Yes it says on the spindle where they're from. If you're buying online, check with the place to see what their current stock is (if it's not quoted anyway).

LIGHTNING UK!
I'd try 4x, failing that, clean the drive and try again. Failing that consider the drive faulty and get yourself a replacement / buy a new one.

mosse33
I'd try 4x, failing that, clean the drive and try again. Failing that consider the drive faulty and get yourself a replacement / buy a new one. tried the above with no joy get this error E 15:03:25 Failed to Read Sector 1672304 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error E 15:03:25 Failed to Verify Sectors! how do i keep getting 2 different errors
