dbminter Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 This may be a stupid question, but, do they make CD-R's of larger than 80 minutes/700 MB? I've a CD I want to create but the source files come out to an annoying 80 minutes and 11 seconds. I can't trim down the length of the files and I can't remove any more files from the source list. So, my only option seems to be to burn to a larger size CD-R, 90 minutes if they make one, etc. Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 You can get 90 and 99 minute ones. SVP have 90min ones in stock (not much use to you, I know!) Can't you just overburn it though? I'm sure 80 minute discs will cope with an extra 11 or so seconds.
dbminter Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 I didn't think about overburning because I've never done it before. Since it's only 11 seconds, as you say, it should work. How exactly would I overburn? What would I use to burn the image, which was created by Nero? Never mind. I figured out how to do it. Mounted the Nero image, read the image drive to a format ImgBurn can burn, and just said yes to the prompt about burning the image even though it was about 2 sectors larger.
