alan1476 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Welcom aboard alan1476 Thanks LOCOENG. I love this proggy and I thought I might be able to learn something or two, maybe give a helping hand also.
viktor Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) Amd/Ati driver may well be responsible. The default for vista (as it has many more drivers @base than xp did may have installed the Amd ide as default) If that is the case look for an updated version. sorry for the long delay i rollbacked the ide controller driver to the ms one, but the error remained. then i also rollbacked the sata controller driver, and now it works. thanks for your guidance and patience. i'll try to let the ati driver maintainers know about this problem when i finish my exams. viktor Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 (edited) FYI: i contacted AMD and we finally reached the point where they are also able to reproduce the problem. hopefully it will be fixed soon. this thread might be moved to support anyway (my bad) Edited September 3, 2008 by viktor
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Thanks for keeping us updated. If they went into details, please feel free to share them!
viktor Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 it seems they "solved" the problem by removing the responsible driver from the package
