meRobs Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I have been testing all the features of ImgBurn 2.4.1.0; and for this purpose I have been using a CD-RW, which often needed an Erase (quick). Often, though, a popup declares: "Unable to lock volume for exclusive access
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Of course you can avoid it but why not fix whatever's causing the problem? The info is in the FAQ if you look.
meRobs Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 Thanks LUK. It was 'Access is denied' because my browser (XnView) or WMPlayer had been pointing to the drive. So, no problem and all's well!
blutach Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 And the pink bit at the top of every thread will set you free! Regards

meRobs Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 The object is to notify you that the drive is not locked purely for Imgburn's use. If it is OPEN for other apps to access it, it could well ruin the blank media your trying to burn to Thanks. I fully understand and am pleased that ImgBurn goes to the trouble.
