Cynthia
I 18:14:53 Write Mode: CD Change it to 'Auto' and ImgBurn will default it to DVD when you are burning a DVD.

LIGHTNING UK!
Your drive doesn't appear to like those discs and is just reporting a 'Write Error' when it tries to burn them See if you can locate a firmware update for it. Where are those verbatim discs manufactured? (look on the packaging) If all else fails, maybe now would be a good time to invest in a newer drive. h0ll1st3r
the discs are made in singapore and i did get a burn last night even though it doesnot work in my xbox 360. Thats the only time i actually got it to burn. Idk why it would just finally burn out of the blue but i tried it again and it didnot work. Ive been to that firmware update site and i cant figure out wich firmware would work for me. BTW a few months ago my drive stopped reading cd-r discs maybe that could be another issue. Is there a way I could reset it or get new firmware? Thank you!
Cynthia
I couldn't find any later firmware version than the one you already have installed. A new writer sounds as the better choice.
h0ll1st3r
I probably do need a new writer but is there anyway of reseting it to see if it solves the problem.
spinningwheel
BTW a few months ago my drive stopped reading cd-r With the drive refusing to read cd's I wouldn't bother with the firmware updates or anything else. If you look online, or at your nearest big box brick and mortar you'll see that the cost of drives has dropped and they are really inexpensive now.
