Streek Dime Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I don't have Netflix yet, but I'm deciding on getting it. I'm not too sure if their DVD's are copy-protected though or not. Anyone here who has Netflix know? Also, if they are copy-protected, can ImgBurn still burn a DVD image from it? If this is something that is not allowed as a discussion topic, then I apologize for making it. You can delete it.
Cynthia Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Discussions about copy protections are not encouraged here due to the laws in the country that hosts the server and ImgBurn can only deal with unprotected stuff.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 In any case, copying rental discs is a big no no. Backing up original discs you own is one thing (and perhaps legal in some countries), I'm pretty sure copying rentals is illegal everywhere.
spinningwheel Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I'm pretty sure copying rentals is illegal everywhere. It sure is here in the States....
blutach Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Actually, from what I read, it isn't in Holland for personal use (the price of blank media is high to cover the assumed loss of profits from the copyright - but with internet ordering from other countries, I expect Dutch residents can get round this). Regards
LOCOENG Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I don't know of anything that isn't copy protected these days except the air that I breathe and I've heard there is some legislation in congress to tax that early next year.
Streek Dime Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 Oh ok thanks alot guys. You can delete this topic so we don't get into trouble

linx05 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Damn Dutchies! Their laws are so relaxed. God I wish I could go back there.
