wont finalize anything, plz help

i usto be able to burn .iso files using my drive but then all of a sudden i couldent finalize anything. i'm using the same discs i always have (memorex Dl 2.4x)

although the 'memorex' discs may look the same, the dye may well be different from the ones that worked

ya i tried 2.4x they get a cleaner burn on 1x and as far as the discs go i got one sucessful burn out of my second pack (bought at the same store and same packaging) and then 4 not working after.

just tried 2.4x burn speed again 100% complete but stuck on 0% finalizing.

my drive (tsstcorp ts-h552l) stops registering at the finalizing stage and i have to restart the computer to get the disc out.

this happens with write speed 1x,2.4x,4x and 2 differnet types of DL discs (2.4x and 8X)

 

 

any ideas?

1x doesn't exist on that media.

 

Regardless of what you set the write speed to, the drive will only ever burn them at 2.4x.

 

Any difference in burn quality you *think* you're seeing is, I am afraid, all in your head.

 

The quality of the discs in these cheapo packs seems to vary quite a lot, I expect that's why the odd few work and the rest don't.
