tamerlan Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Hello everybody!! I' using this excellent program during the last two years, in which i burned a significant number of iso images, with 100% success. Today i had my first failure, and i can't burn an iso image, despite the experimentation i made with the settings of the program. I get an I/O error. Here is my log : I 12:18:50 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Reset the settings back to default, burn at 8x or 12x. Update your drive's firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-H58N/files.html If none of that works, your drive can't like those discs very much. Buy some better (Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim) ones instead.
tamerlan Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Thank's for the quick help. I' ll try what you said, and post back. Just for info i used a lot of these TDK'S, without any problem in the past. If nothing work's, i 'll try another brand.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 For the most part, brand name means nothing. You have to go by the MID, which in your case is 'TTH02'.
tamerlan Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) I restored the settings back to deafult, i updated the firmware of the drive, and i tried to burn at 12X. Didn't worked. tamerlan Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 I have good news. Despite the error message during the burning procedure, i inserted the DVD in my drive, and guess what ? The game is installed without ant problems, and now my daughter is playing with it!!! Thank you both for your help, and mainly for the interesting info about MID. My next purchase will be verbatim. As a conclusion, i still have 100% success with imgburn, and that's something very important for me. Keep up the good work.
