Sherif Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Dear Sir, I am having problem burning Dual Layers DVDs using my Toshiba Laptop (Mashita UJ-841s DVD Drive). I am using the .dvd file as specified on the forum, and Verbatim DVD +R DL Double Layers (Made in Singapore) media. The error happens at 50% of the burn process. Please find the log below. LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Buy the 2.4x verbatim discs (MKM-001-00 dye), not the 8x ones (MKM-003-00 dye).

dbminter Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 My problem was the NEC drive I was using apparently. It had been writing to them then stopped writing them successfully, bombing out in the attempt to verify the data. I just replaced my NEC with a later NEC (7200) and the problem was fixed.
