thanks to those who suggested a fix for my DL burn problem, works now.

Now, a new prob, I think

I use DVD Ghost to copy the files to the folder Video_TS, no problem they

end up there, but there also seems to be some files marked as backup, can

these be deleted before I use build mode.

When I play the dvd on a pc it shows the titles and chapters, there are 3 titles

and in title 1 and 2 are 33 chapters, and in title 3 2 chapters.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks

The 'backup' files might be *.BUP files which are needed. The VIDEO_TS folder should contain *.IFO, *.BUP and *.VOB files.

As for your playback issue, well that's nothing to do with ImgBurn. My advice is to stop using Windows Media Player for playback and use a bit of software designed for DVD Video playback - Media Player Classic, VLC, PowerDVD, WinDVD etc.

Thanks, no I know it is not an Imgburn problem. I did notice when setting

the layer split only a couple of files allow me to preview them, so how do I

know the best place to put the split.. I will install Power dvd.

Thanks

You go by the ratings and preview them via the previewer.

Ideally you want the LB to be somewhere that you wouldn't notice a slight pause (i.e. between scenes).

Yes I understand this as I have read your how to, I notice tha out of ay 10 files

only 2 can be previewed, think they are the ones with blue stars, so I can't

find a suitable place to implement the split, just take pot luck :-)

Might be that the ones you can't preview are between a .bup and a .ifo file. Any chance you can post a screen shot of that 'set the layer break window'?

Will have a go later, all great fun

If you pick one of the greens that are .ifo /bup - you will not noticed anything (even if you normally don't do that if you have a decent player that supports the seamless option) when you watch the video parts of the DVD.

Even the remaining green ones are before the video stream (cell #1) so you shouldn't notice any hick up in the video playback if you decide to use one of those.

I just wish my DVDs looked that great when it's time to pick a layer break position. :(

Getting there slowly. Another small problem

When I play a dvd made with imgburn it locks

at a certain chapter, strange part is if I look at

the list in WMP it shows 3 marked tiitle, ie 1,2,3

This problem only happens in title 1 at chapter 19

I have tried a few players and same thing happens

Stuff on single layer 4Gb disks are fine. Why are

there 3 titles shown

According to your posted image there are three title sets (VTS_01 -- VTS_03).

That the player stops at chapter 19 sounds odd as the whole main movie (VTS_01) is on the first layer. It sounds more as the burn was not very good.

Can you post the burning log from that burn?

You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs

yes strange. It only happens with using title one

title 2 works fine. I get the normal burn successful tones

and it verifies OK. I tried 3 different pc,s with different

burners, all do the same. Is it possible to delete some of

the title files before burning. I admit I have only tried playback

on a pc, will try it on my dvd player and advance the chapters

to were it stops

You can use VobBlanker to remove unwanted VTS's or re author it in a program like Nero Recode (or similar program).

It do sounds as there is something wrong with the source files if you have burned the same project in three different burners.

yes further investigation has shown that when I run the dvd I have the option

to play in widescreen or normal, widescreen is title 1 and causes the problem

Title 2 is normal and plays fine all the way through. So looks like I can only

play in normal which of course has the picture in the middle of the screen.

The origional is a region 1 which I have used dvd ghost to make region 0 and

copy the files to video_ts
