What exactly are you seeing? Is DVDInfoPro loading up? If so, ImgBurn has done it's job. DVDInfoPro is probably just crashing on your PC. Are you running version 4.56?

It's not 'movie' time, its time (probably in old CD based terms) of the disc size. i.e. 74 mins = 640 mb 80 mins = 700 mb An easy mistake to make, don't worry.

I would guess you could also perform PIPO type scans when it's a real BenQ - not sure if you can do those when it's a Philips drive. BenQ release firmware quite frequently, again, I'm not sure if Philips ever do!

Doing it now for you... just updated to the 1.08 firmware. EDIT: Ok done it now. 12x still exceeds 12x because NEC are weird like that! The RPM they select is too high and because it stays constant and the final speed reached is something like 13x. At the 12x point, the BenQ (when scanning) picks up some huge PIE value - not really sure why. For that reason, I've also done a scan with a LiteOn.

Sorry, did you say SPTI doesn't find any drives? Something must be seriously wrong for that to be the case. That normally happens when your filter drivers are messed up. That can't have been the entire log, just switch to the Log window, press CTRL + A, and then CTRL + C to copy it all to the clipboard. You should remove the asapi one too. Not sure how you removed the others, but you could always resort to stripping it out via the registry. It's probably in a key like this: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Just edit the 'LowerFilters' value and remove the asapiw2k text. There is no I/O debugging to be done here so you need not post a log including that stuff. You actually missed off a massive chunk there anyway and so what you've provided is really of no use to us except we now know your burner's firmware version. When you uninstall burning software, it rarely takes away its driver - as many other programs often make use of the drivers too. That's why you've got a collection of filter drivers installed that you're not using. You could probably quite happily remove: GEARAspiWDM Pfc ASAPIW2k PxHelp20

Not especially, but it would certainly make things worse. You'd notice it more if you only have something like 512mb of RAM and burn from the same hdd as the one the OS + swapfile sits on, or if the one with the swapfile on it shares the channel with your burner.
