  1. 1. Would be cool! I obviously calculate the current write speed so it's just a case of saving that info at different times and then learning how to draw pretty graphs!

    2. I've personally never seen this as a big deal - after all, it's just 1 button to burn another copy! It is doable thought I guess.

    3. This ties in with No. 1 - yeah? To take a picture of the pretty graph! lol

  2. Basic (no mp3 burning) cue file support is a definite possiblity.

As it stands, if the bin / cue is just a single track / session (i.e. no audio tracks after the data - and not an audio cd!), you can just burn the bin file.

  3. Nah, the problem is the weird way windows works!

Shell integration is identical to DVD Decrypters.

Take a look at HKCR\.iso in regedit.

You'll probably notice the '(Default)' string has some value.

Delete it and the 'HKCR\.iso\shell\Burn using ImgBurn' bits will come into play.

The 'open with' stuff will show up if you actually select ImgBurn from the 'Open With...' list - i.e. browse to it manually.

Since releasing 1.0.0.0, I've actually tweaked the file association stuff (because it's been annoying me too!), so that it checks that default value under the file type reg keys, and then put a 'shell\burn using ImgBurn' key under the redirected shell association key.

    Hope that makes sense!

Basically if 'HKCR\.iso' - '(Default)' = "DiskImage", you browse to 'HKCR\DiskImage', and the 'shell' entries under that are what shows when you right click.

  4. Ah probably just a virus acting on your/their behalf then.

I had a few hundred NDR's come through yesterday on my normal 'home use' account.

All of them were about some crappy spam email supposedly coming from me with the subject 'Need in software?'

The email I supposedly sent contained the following:

    Good day!

Do you need any software for your pc? We might have what you need...

    Our site is h**p://www.penok.com

    Thank you,

    Hilario

  5. Nope.

I hate doing drive specific stuff and unfortunately, booktype setting commands are different for every make of drive.

To do it like how Nero does it, I'd need a list of all drives / models etc and apply certain commands depending on the drive.

IMHO, that sucks as then it wont (always) work for future drives, OEM models etc.

Hopefully LG will get their act together and save the setting in a future firmware - or the t10 group of peeps will come up with a standard command for booktype setting - I know the Nero (Ahead) people are trying to get one pushed through.

  6. God, I hope people aren't expecting too much!

ImgBurn is just my way of being able to continue with DVD Decrypters 'ISO Write' mode.

Same look, same code. The only difference is that I can update it!

Oh and of course there are a few fixes, changes since the 3.5.4.0 engine. Namely, better DL image burning support etc.

  7. hmmm custom file system... didn't see that bit!

I guess they're not as convenient as they first seem then.

If it weren't for login scripts etc, installing the proprietary software would be a right pain in the arse for anything other than a network consisting of a couple of machines.

Totally with you on the 10/100 mbit thing though. For HDDs, those kinds of speeds are no where near enough. They've pretty much shot themselves in the foot by not going 1 gbit.

  8. Wahoo, just tested the fix kevdriver sorted me out with on my vmware virtual network (mirror of the one at work) and it fixed the problem perfectly!

This really couldn't have come at a better time - we've got what's known as an 'ofsted' inspection on Monday (used to determine good schools from bad ones) and they'll all be so much happier now that the logons aren't taking 30 seconds!

So I can stop this thing now?

    Yup! Thanks anyway mate.

  10. Shamus, I tried that but at 16,000,000 passwords a second, it was going to take something like 4 years!

To help you, its a 9 character password btw.

Yes kevdriver, that was exactly what I needed. I've no idea how you did it - especially on a saturday - but thanks!
