  1. Use some decent Taiyo Yuden CD-R discs.
  2. Turn your machine off (properly - as in, kill the power to it) and on again.
  3. The menu entries do what they say and nothing more. So if you lock it, ejecting it isn't possible. The eject button unlocks as well as ejecting.
  4. It should never just stop burning. Either your machine has stopped processing I/O commands (bad drivers for your sata controller or dodgy cables), or your drive is running into mega issues burning the media you're using.
  5. Sorry, I have no idea either. It's just random... but I'm sure the drive's firmware has its own reasons for doing it - you'd be better off asking the people who manufactured your drive.
  6. Nope, not any 'write once' media.
  7. It stops the drive from writing to the disc (turns the laser off or whatever), so it's more of a system test. If you still get errors with Test Mode enabled, chances are it's the drivers or something similar. If you don't, your drive is just complaining about the media you're using.
  8. Without seeing if the error you're getting is bogus or masking a real error from the drive, I can't say. Did you try the 12.5 driver? You can get 12.5, 11.7, 11.6, 11.2 etc. via these search results - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&keyword=%22rapid%22&sort=Date&sortDir=descending You could try at the other supported write speeds and also with Taiyo Yuden CDs (they're better). It might even be worth trying to burn one with 'Test Mode' enabled and see if your machine still errors out when you do that.
  9. There's a 12.5 out there too.
  10. Try the newer IRST driver. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2101&DwnldID=22787&lang=eng&iid=dc_rss Failng that, see if you can roll back to a previous version.
  11. Has the drive ended up on a different controller now if you look at the family tree info? All sata ports should be equal on the same controller, the number you plug it into may just change the boot priority, that's all. Reseating the cables may have been enough to fix your issue.
  12. You're getting a windows error there and not one from the drive itself. Maybe it's due to an updated motherboard chipset or controller driver that's been installed? Right click the drive selection box, click 'family tree', close the prompt and then copy + paste everything from the log window please.
  13. This is nothing to do with ImgBurn. Your drive reports the size.
  14. If it fails to verify, there's a problem somewhere. Without knowing the specifics, it's impossible to say if it's a system issue or a disc issue.
  15. You can access the automatically saved one(s) via the Help menu.
  16. Post the log please - as per the pink box up the top
  17. DVD-R DL aren't really good for anything. Use DVD+R DL.
  18. You can't, the command line stuff doesn't support wildcards or provide any means of filtering the source selection.
  19. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  20. It means the drive is having trouble finding a suitable (power) setting for the laser - in order to get a decent burn. Are you quite sure you've always used 'MBI 01RG40' discs? The brand name stamped on them doesn't mean anything. Have you tried the other supported write speeds? How about cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc?
  21. Turn off 'perform opc before write'. Turn off 'overspeed' on the drive. Re-enable the 'verify' option so you can actually see if the burnt disc is 100% readable. Perform a 'clear opc history' on the drive. When you've done all that, try again.
  22. Aaahh it's just a cosmetic issue due to the 'null' thousands separator. Consider it fixed.
  23. Post the log from the failed burn please. Also, try looking for some updated nvidia drivers for your motherboard chipset / OS combo. It makes no sense that it wouldn't be able to lock the drive is everything was working as it should be and nothing else is using the drive. It's quite a low level OS function that's failing.
