Power Calibration Area Error - BD 3D ISO
LIGHTNING UK! replied to cowboys6190's topic in ImgBurn Support
Even my drive shows up in it and it's a BH12LS38.... so your issue is probably related to your controller. Try flashing in safemode. btw, just as the program warns when you attempt it, 'Test Mode' doesn't work for BD-R. At least not on my LG drive it doesn't. -

Power Calibration Area Error - BD 3D ISO
LIGHTNING UK! replied to cowboys6190's topic in ImgBurn Support
According to the post here... http://club.myce.com/f61/mediacodespeededit-tool-dvd-writers-114269/index48.html#post2513577 ...your drive has no firmware support for the 'CMCMAG-DI6-000' MID. If you can get the 2.00-03 update flashed to it, you should be ok. http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1857-file_BH08LS20_2.00-03.exe.html -
Correction, the calculation was fine. My brain was just letting me down earlier I look forward to getting the info/files I requested in my previous post. Oh and here's my working out as it stands currently... disc_capacity = 4173824 layer_size = 2086912 start_split = 2038860 end_split = 2086912 max_padding = 2086912 - 2038860 = 48052 image_size = (2 * 2038860) + 48052 = 4125772 Cell 10 absolute = 1423391 + 596055 = 2019446 size for Cell 10 and everything after it = 4125772 - 2019446 = 2106326 = too much for a layer (layer_size) size for start_split and everything after it = 4125772 - 2038860 = 2086912 = exact size of layer (layer_size)

You probably didn't install madFlac properly. It's a pain if you have UAC enabled Try this...
-
If you look at the 'Read Speed' option on the main Read mode window you should see that it uses (defaults to) 'MAX' for data (data tracks) and '8x' for audio (audio tracks). As it happens, the Optiarc drives support 4x, 10x, 20x and 40x read speeds on CD. You're unlucky in that upon being asked to read at 8x, the drive opted for 4x rather than 10x.

Typically, now I've looked at the code which produces that screen, I think there's an error in the calculation. It's not a calculation which actually does anything though (i.e. prevents it finding LB positions), it's purely for the values put on that screen. If you don't mind, I'd like to build up a replica of your project here so I can see what's going on. I need the final path names of all the folders/files that will be present on the disc (this should just be the usual VIDEO_TS folder and its IFO/VOB/BUP files) and a list of the exact (to the byte) size of each file. Running 'dir' on the directory via the command prompt will do. Then I need you to zip up the IFO files and attach them in your post / upload them somewhere / email them to me.
-
Maybe this will help? http://club.myce.com/f116/choosing-correct-layer-break-position-imgburn-313692/ If the previewer won't work, try going into ImgBurn's settings -> General -> Page 2 and check the 'Dont Use DirectDraw Overlays' box. Then try it again.

There's no way we can help without seeing a log. If you keep uninstalling the program, that's why the log on the hdd is empty - it gets deleted. Burn a disc and copy + paste the text from the Log window itself.
-
It's difficult to work out without having all the figures but basically, nothing before 2038860 is any good. That value is calculated by taking into account the maximum amount of padding that can be applied. Cells before that point require too much padding and push too much data into L1.

Help with BD-R DL not enough space on disc error
LIGHTNING UK! replied to esoteric7t7's topic in ImgBurn Support
Would you be reading the disc with the ISO on it in one drive and writing it on another at the same time? I guess you must be or what you're doing is no quicker/easier than just reading a properly burnt disc to a new image and then burning another copy. Then again, I only see 1 drive mentioned in your log so you can't be. There's no difference in drag+dropping the an ISO from a disc to making a new one with ImgBurn's Read mode. You're going to end up with the exact same file on your hdd. It wouldn't matter even if the file system *could* be made smaller, as you've already said, the ISO you're burning is the *exact* size of the BD-R DL discs. You haven't even got 1 sector to spare. You can't do anything to change how much free space there is on a disc. If you zip/rar the file it may well give you the extra bit of headroom you need. It'll take a while to compress 50gb though! -

Ok, there's your problem. Your machine is pulling in 5 additional filters that simply aren't required and they're messing up the output. If you've installed one of those codec packs, remove it. They're more trouble than they're worth. All you need is madFlac.

Help with BD-R DL not enough space on disc error
LIGHTNING UK! replied to esoteric7t7's topic in ImgBurn Support
When you burn something in Build mode, you're wrapping the files up inside another ISO container and that involves adding a file system around them. That file system info takes up space, which is why the new ISO ends up being too big for the disc. So for that file, it's simply not possible. ImgBurn detects when you're building a BD Video image and will prompt you if your settings aren't right. There's also a BD Video guide in the guides forum. -
Load one of your flac files into the 'Create CUE' window, then right click it and display the directshow filter list. Press CTRL+C when the message box is still on the screen and then CTRL+V (paste) the info into a reply. i.e.

2.5.6.0 - AUDIO CD - Burn Problems at ALL!
LIGHTNING UK! replied to DjDiabolik's topic in ImgBurn Support
The pink box up the top tells you how to find the saved logs. i.e. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632 -
I guess because Cell 10 starts before that location (2038860 / 615469) and Cell 11 starts after it (2086912 / 663521). If you pad Cell 10 so it starts at 2038860 you'd end up with more data on L1 than could actually fit on the disc. You need more Cells inserted between Cell 10 and 11. Follow the 'end of the world' guide in the Guides forum.

You can't do much for read speeds, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. ImgBurn always sends the command requesting the speed you selected. It's down to the drive to actually honour it. It looks like the Pioneer BD drives only do 40x on CDs.

Sorry, I have no idea what you mean. Please provide more detail.

Logical Unit Communication Time-Out
LIGHTNING UK! replied to tennisdude516's topic in ImgBurn Support
This could be due to the controller your drive is attached to. Right click the drive drop down selection box and select 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt and then copy + paste the family tree info from the Log window. Service Pack 1 is out for Windows 7, you should install it. -
"Failed to Write Sectors ... Reason: Write Error"
LIGHTNING UK! replied to TobyD's topic in ImgBurn Support
You should leave it on DAO/SAO now you have some decent discs. Incremental is there as an option but receives no testing from me - I always use DAO/SAO. There should be no difference in burn quality but sometimes one will work when the other doesn't - but that can happen either way round (i.e. incremental NOT work and DAO/SAO DOES work). -

Failed to send cue sheet! reason: incompatible medium installed
LIGHTNING UK! replied to seankelly's topic in ImgBurn Support
What you're burning is way too big to fit on a CD, burn it to a DVD. Oh and when the program tells you it won't fit (which it did), take note and expect failure if you go ahead anyway. Put the write type back on DAO/SAO. -
