Device not ready ( Medium not present)

Your drive can't burn DVDs, it can only read them. -
I am also stuck on 'Searching for SCSI / ATAPI drives'

Try loading the latest JMicron drivers. ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/SATA_Controller/Windows/ Check for BIOS updates too as they may include an updated JMicron ROM. -
I didn't say to 'upload' the macpup file, I said to load it... as in, within ImgBurn's Write mode. Double clicking on it would do.
-
You could give one of the new Optiarc drives a go - the 7280 or whatever. Check the tests/reviews of various drives over at the MyCE (CD Freaks) forums.

Eh? The 'Desktop.mds' file I need to look at is in 'C:\Users\Julie\Documents' - as per your initial screenshot. You appear to have missed my request for this to be done. Why are you even loading Desktop.mds in the first place? Why can't you just load Macpup_Foxy_2.0.iso ?
-
Open Explorer (My Computer) and browse to the desktop folder. Take a screenshot of what's visible. Make sure you've turned off the 'Hide file extensions for known files' option in 'Folder Options' within Control Panel - so I can see the full file name including the file extension. Please also upload the mds file (zip it or whatever) so I can check it.

oh hang on a minute... is it really getting stuck (can't tell with an image mounted in DT as it's not erroring out) or are you just not seeing the burner in the program? Reboot and try the program in safe mode. -
That's down to the way the content was authored - which is done outside of ImgBurn.

Seems we're going to disagree on this then Failing to burn in Windows 7 (both normal and safemode) and Windows XP (from Hiren's Boot CD) using CDs and DVDs would lead me to conclude it *is* actually a hardware error. Get yourself a normal drive and a USB enclosure. Don't buy another slimline one.
-
Sorry, I don't really know what you want us to say. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. There's nothing anyone can do about it.

The last line in that log shows the program trying to communicate with the DAEMON Tools virtual drive... so that's where your problem lies. I don't know what the deal is with your Pioneer drive but it appears to be locked by something and is therefore inaccessible to ImgBurn - hence the 'Access Denied' messages. -
Invalid Address for Write Error for DVD+DL (Vebatium))
LIGHTNING UK! replied to cvmanjoo's topic in ImgBurn Support
There's something wrong with something or it would be working Did you test at all of the supported write speeds? So far your logs just show you burning at 2.4x and 2x, neither of which are supported speeds - hence the drive is using 4x. There are no firmware updates available for the drive so there's nothing you can do there. That leaves you options of cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc / trying another spindle of discs / buying another drive. Again, these are all mentioned in the thread I linked you to. -
No, you can only burn one BD Video structure per disc. The player expects the folders/files to be in certain places in the root of the disc. If you put several on there (in their own folders), it won't find them. The queue is just for Write mode, it doesn't apply to Build mode.
-
Don't rename one without the other, they have to match (unless the old name is actually specified in the MDS file, normally it's a '*' which means mds and iso have the same name).
-
Sorry, we cannot comment on those types of programs on this forum.

I didn't mean first EVER... just first from this spindle of discs or whatever. Go through the options in the thread I linked you to. -
What files do you actually have? Desktop.mds and Desktop.iso ? The Desktop.mds file seems to have the name Macpup_Foxy_2.0.iso embedded in it (rather than Desktop.iso). Rename the files accordingly or just delete the mds and load the ISO.
-
Try inside the Mini Windows XP that's on Hiren's boot cd. You could also try it via a Linux (Ubuntu maybe) Live CD. You'd have to install 'Wine' so ImgBurn could run. It might be worth you just getting a decent normal size SATA drive and a decent USB->SATA enclosure.
-
You have to load CDROM drivers in order to access the other content on the CD.
-
Please do as the pink box up the top says and post a log Playback issues aren't typically our concern as ImgBurn is just burning what you give it. If your playback device needs a certain folder structure then it's up to you to provide it. Try reading the MultiAVCHD thread over at the Doom9 forums - the program has a special option for outputting PS3 friendly folder structures.

Any hex editor will do.
-
Can you switch your controller into ATA/legacy mode rather than AHCI in the bios? Do you have any filter drivers installed? Use the feature in the Tools menu to check - then copy + paste the info please.
-
Have you read the guide in the guides section? If you don't have all the files/folders, it's not going to work. If you have an original retail disc that boots, why are you trying to build another one?

I don't have to go near the LeadIn unless I'm writing CD-TEXT... the drive handles it. When I do it for CD-TEXT I'm just writing the CD-TEXT packets, nothing about sessions or tracks.
