Cannot burn disc image with LG Blu Ray Drive
LIGHTNING UK! replied to retroshaun's topic in ImgBurn Support
An old log will do. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632 -
Your drive is reporting a 'Write Error' - so it's having trouble burning to the disc. They the cheap LTH ones yeah? Try update the firmware on the drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GGW-H20L/files.html The drive is getting on a bit now, perhaps it needs a clean? You should install service pack 1 for Windows 7.
-
So you've tried burning them at 2x, 4x and 6x? If so then either the drive is faulty or the discs are.
-
That's a log from Nero. Please try again. The pink box tells you how to find the log. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632 ImgBurn didn't fail, your drive did. All you do in such situations is buy different discs, try a different write speed, clean the drive, update the drive's firmware etc.
-
You don't need to change any ImgBurn settings really, just perhaps a drive eeprom setting - which of course is nothing to do with the program itself. If you really want to mess with ImgBurn's settings too, configure it how you want it, shut it down and then export the registry key. Do that for all your 'profiles' and then import the right one before you load the program. Alternatively, use ini files and pass the one you want to load as a parameter in a shortcut.

Read what it says in the status bar at the bottom of the main window when you're unable to click the button. It should give you (or us) a clue as to what's wrong.
-
Please post the log - as per the instructions in the pink box up the top If you're doubting the Verbatim discs you purchased, get hold of some others locally (if possible).

Blu-ray BD image on DVD &/or DVD-DL
LIGHTNING UK! replied to MovieingMemories's topic in ImgBurn Support
Sometimes they may just treat BD content on a DVD discs as something slightly different. It comes down to following BD video specs or AVCHD specs I think. Each player could potentially handle these things differently. The best people to ask about this stuff are over at the Doom9 forums - look in the MultiAVCHD thread. We don't really deal with playback issues. -
Cannot burn disc image with LG Blu Ray Drive
LIGHTNING UK! replied to retroshaun's topic in ImgBurn Support
All drives that follow the MMC command set are supported - as that's what ImgBurn is built around. It's only mega old drives that don't. Please do as the pink box up the top says and post a log -
Blu-ray BD image on DVD &/or DVD-DL
LIGHTNING UK! replied to MovieingMemories's topic in ImgBurn Support
Yes. 1. You don't worry about layer breaks on blu-ray discs (content wise or phyiscal media). 2. Yes. Some players may want DVD-ROM booktype, some may not work if it's set to DVD-ROM. You have to figure that out yourself and adjust the option in the settings accordingly. 3. Software, it should do, yes. Hardware, that probably depends on which one you have. You may have to change the folder structure slightly (so within the image) to match what your player is expecting for DVD media. 4. No. -
x3? Do you mean 3x speed? These are the speeds your drive/firmware claim they support on those discs... If you've tried all of those and they all fail, you should think about buying other/better discs (Taiyo Yuden) and perhaps cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.

No, just the VIDEO_TS folder (and its contents). -
Long Time at Writing LeadIn - How Long to Wait?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to ArchiMark's topic in ImgBurn Support
This is a support issue, not a bug. Now it's in the correct section, please post a log so we can see what's what (as per the pink box up the top). Writing the leadin should take a matter of seconds, not minutes. For yours to be taking so long, the drive must have an issue with the media you're using. Posting the log (as mentioned above) will tell us more. Just copy+paste it from the Log window. -
Wrong place to post. This is a 'support' issue, not one for 'chat'. Now I've moved it to the correct place, you can see it's covered by the pink box up the top (you have problems burning double layer discs). Read this - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

I think you'll find it's any drive - or anything that doesn't respond to an I/O command of some description. The OS / program wait for success / failure and can't continue properly (at all) until it gets one or the other. Pulling the power from the drive would be the quickest way to get out of a 'stuck' situation.

problems with software only burning at 0.7x
LIGHTNING UK! replied to TaLK's topic in ImgBurn Support
If you've tried multiple machines/cards/cables, surely the next thing is to try a different drive/enclosure? -
Combine the File/Folder Selection Dialog
LIGHTNING UK! replied to kxkvi's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
The browse boxes ImgBurn gives you are all that's available in Windows in the form of standard 'common dialog' boxes. If Microsoft ever added one that lets you select files AND folders at the same time, I'd implement support for it in ImgBurn. Beyond that, do as Cynthia said and use Advanced input mode - where you'll then get an Explorer style pane you can drag+drop from. -
Ah, that's explains your reply
-
Try burning at a slower speed. Your drive isn't producing a very good burn at 'max' speed on those discs.
-
Like I said, it won't shut your PC down if there was an error during the burn/verify stage. The bit about FAQ/Guides is just my 'signature', it wasn't aimed at you.
-
It won't, no.
-
So it would appear VirtualBox is unable to process a 'Seek (10)' command for whatever reason. Try reporting it to them as a bug.

problems with software only burning at 0.7x
LIGHTNING UK! replied to TaLK's topic in ImgBurn Support
0.7x is USB 1.0 speeds. Connect the drive so it functions at USB 2.0 speeds - this is a Windows thing and nothing to do with ImgBurn. -
There's nothing you can do about it. If 4x is the lowest speed coded into the drive's firmware then that's what you're stuck with - unless you can modify the firmware via something like MediaCodeSpeedEdit or find an old drive that still supports 2.4x on those discs. If your drive can produce a decent quality burn at 4x, there's no reason to go to 2.4x. 'Slower = Better' is just a myth. A good burn at any speed will outperform (readability wise) a bad burn at any other speed.
