I've no idea. I wouldn't have thought so. Might I ask why you're asking? Are you worried about running out of changes? Once set, you shouldn't ever really have to touch the regional settings. It's not something you're supposed to keep changing, that's why the drives are limited to 5 changes.
-
If you burnt an image file, yes. If not, no.
-
If you're usually near the PC and able to push it back in, leave it enabled. If you aren't and would prefer to go away, come back and find it all finished, disable it. I don't rate slimline drives as burners - they're all pretty rubbish. If you're burning enough discs to make pushing in the tray a real issue, maybe you should consider buying an external normal size drive that can eject+load by itself.
-
Cycling the tray is actually quite important and picks up on issues that would otherwise go unnoticed. Don't think that just because some other tools don't do it that they're correct... they aren't. The option you're looking for is aptly named 'Cycle Tray Before Verify' and can be found on the 'Write' tab in the 'Settings'. The only time I'd ever consider turning it off is if I had a laptop with a slimline drive that has to be loaded manually.

Copy the 2 files to your hard drive, then try to open x.di in Write mode. It'll either work or it won't
-
Because you can only pick a random region without a disc in the drive if it's the first time the regional code has ever been set. After that, the drive compares the disc's regional code(s) to the one you're attempting to set the drive to. They must match or the drive will error out (not ImgBurn itself). The program does say you need to have inserted a disc from a corresponding region. I'm not seeing a specific bit of code to warn about last chance. The number of remaining changes is clearly displayed in the box where you pick the region.

It won't, no. Or at least not if it's an MDS ImgBurn created.
-
Because you're new. That's just the way things work around here I'm afraid.

Can you get your PC to boot and other discs? Try an ISO that's already known to be bootable (like a Ubuntu Live CD or Memtest86+). If you can't get that to boot either, it must be something you're doing wrong in/with the BIOS.

Problems when trying to create image from file

What speed are you burning those discs at? Update the firmware on the drive - http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S223L/files.html Don't burn at 'max' speed, try 8x - 16x instead. Verify your burns. -

Post the log please. -
Then I can only assume there's something not quite right about your disc. How did you get the source files you used to build it in the first place? You'd normally always have a working original disc or an ISO you just burn 'as-is' with these things. Sometimes the downloads from Microsoft are the raw files zipped up... but then you wouldn't have the 'Boot' folder (which you'd need). Your previous DVD won't do anything without you telling it to.

ImgBurn gets stuck on "Searching for SCSI/ATAPI Devices"

Your system/drive is having trouble processing the last command listed in the log. See if you can find an updated SIS controller driver for your motherboard. -
failed to read from file reason: the parameter is incorrect

A workaround for now would be to enable the 'Reading - Always Use Buffered I/O' option in the Settings (I/O tab). -
Nu-tech drives are all but dead. They're not even worth mentioning these days - I've obviously forgotten about them and any extra warning messages I was made to add in when I implemented their code! No, the drive will just report an error.
-
It doesn't, no. A generic google search for maximum eeprom write cycles suggest most can handle 100,000+. I'm not sure a warning is really required when you're talking about those kinds of figures.

That's your graphics card bios string. The G41M-P28 seems to use Ami Bios. Try reading this - http://forums.techarena.in/guides-tutorials/1066408.htm It's something I found after simply Googling 'ami bios change boot order'.
-
Like I said in post #5, you're looking for something related to boot order / priority. You'd normally have options to set the order of booting from various devices such as floppy drives, optical drives, hard disk, network, USB etc. Knowning which brand of bios (cmos) you have would help.
-
The BIOS isn't going to list an operating system... are you sure you were in the right place?!
-
You're asking questions you could easily find answers to yourself via a quick Google search. You normally get into the motherboard bios by pressing F2 or Del when the machine reboots/is turned on. F12 will bring up a boot menu on some motherboards. Once you're in the bios, look for boot order/priority and make sure cd/dvd is *before* hdd if you want the machine to attempt to boot from a cd/dvd rather than the hdd (where it would then load Windows).

Disable files creating subfolders when files are added
LIGHTNING UK! replied to HeftCD's topic in ImgBurn Support
There are 4 (or 5) tabs visible on the main window when you're in Build mode. One of them is 'Options'. -
No, it's a disc burner. It's not a BD shrinking/reauthoring tool.
-
The Autoplay configuration opions can also be found in Control Panel.

Maybe you enabled 'Preserve Full Pathnames' on the 'Options' tab? It's off by default so it's something you'd have done manually.
