Ok so just go into the 'Advanced' section of the booktype screen and add your drive ID to the LG list. Then ImgBurn will do it automatically each time you burn.
-
If your drive can't handle it, just turn it off in the settings! Tools -> Settings -> Write -> Send OPC.
-
Aren't they Pioneer drives or something? Pioneers perform automatic bitsetting (when it's enabled in the firmware), there are no commands available to do it manually.
-
You might want to check the drives on a non jmicron controller or something before declaring them totally dead. I gave up with the one on my board and stuck with using the sil 680 and sil 3512 PCI cards. You could try 8x and 12x in the liteon too - and maybe even enable hyper tuning in the drive's advanced settings.

he was talking about the LH-20A1P.

Optimum Power Calibration Failed, Reason: Write Protected
LIGHTNING UK! replied to TURGUT's topic in ImgBurn Support
It's a drive/firmware/media thing so it's no big surprise that it worked in your laptop. Different drives like different media. Your Plextor is also pretty old now and I'm guessing the Matshita is almost brand new. -
how to burn a back up of your oringinal xbox 360 game

You can't backup xbox discs with ImgBurn, they're protected against that kind of thing. -
Optimum Power Calibration Failed, Reason: Write Protected

Does it only error out like that on DVD+RW? What about normal DVD-R or DVD+R ? If it happens on all discs, just turn off the 'Send OPC' option in the settings (Write tab). -
Spindle Servo Failure on LG with Verbatim DL
LIGHTNING UK! replied to alexnestian's topic in ImgBurn Support
Yours can't be all that old... maybe you could get it replaced? I wouldn't go for Asus or Plextor to be honest. Plextor just rebrand stuff now and Asus don't appeal to me. I'd probably look at LiteOn, Pioneer, Samsung. -
Spindle Servo Failure on LG with Verbatim DL

Well there certainly appears to be some sort of issue. Either you got a duff batch of discs or the drive just doesn't like burning them - period. Where were the verbs made? singapore? -
I can't possibly answer that. Only you know what you want. This of it this way... You have a folder on your hdd called: C:\My Folder. 'My Folder' contains the files 'My Files'. When you burn the disc, to lets say drive F:, do you want it to turn out like: F:\My Folder - which contains 'My Files' or do you want F:\ - which contains 'My Files'. So if 'C:\My Folder' should become 'F:\' (rather than F:\My Folder), you need to click 'Yes'. Otherwise click 'No'.

This weekend if you're lucky and I get time.

lol I think they're messing.... busting balls or whatever you want to call it.

Select 'Floppy Disk (1.44 MB)' for the emulation type. For the 'Boot Image' you want the 'C:\BootImage.ima' one that ImgBurn just made. Leave the 'Developer ID' empty. Add any other files you want on the CD to the 'Source' box on the left and then hit the write/build button.
-
I doubt it. When you get the error box come up, do as the post in the FAQ says and use Process Explorer to find out which program is using the drive.
-
Read post 13.
-
Please read the FAQ.
-
I don't think we're talking about the format or sizes of the images, just the actual pictures themselves. Vista ones are more realistic looking.
-
'2 floppies' is not one of the options, so I'm guessing no. You might be able to use a program to combine the two discs into a single 2.9mb floppy image though - try something like WinImage.
-
No, they're just erased if non-empty. Just DVD+RW and BD-RE need to be sent a command to perform a 'format' before you can write to them. After that they support 'direct overwrite' when it doesn't matter if the already have data on them, you can just go ahead and write straight over the top of it without any need to erase it.

need help with I/o error on a new drive
LIGHTNING UK! replied to blackthorn3d's topic in ImgBurn Support
Just so you know, booktype stuff is automatically handled by ImgBurn for TSSTcorp drives, you don't need to do anything manually. The booktype is not why the burns failed before, the booktype failed because of the failed burns. -
This has been covered before and has been fixed for 2.4.1.0. Sorry.

Burning both folders and files, Not all files and copied
LIGHTNING UK! replied to Peru's topic in ImgBurn Support
Course it can. If the 'Include Hidden Files' is ticked and the FindFirst/Next API can see them then they'll be added. You'd probably want 'Include System Files' checked too. Ensure 'Include Archive Files ONLY' is NOT checked. -

1. See post above. The windows dialog boxes don't allow for selecting folders and files in the same box. There's a box for files and a box for folders. I have to make my own if you want box - that'll probably happen one day but drag + drop works very well for now. 2. Did you have 'resurse subdirectories' enabled? Maybe you need to include 'hidden' files/folders?
