you should also booktype the disc to dvd rom, its the little book icon in IMGburn, write mode settings (lower right hand corner ) makes the discs way more compatible to players ,they think that they are a original pressed disc
PS if you're paying $5 for dual layer discs you're getting ripped off they can be had for less than half of that
-
and when this is all sorted get some decent media those CMC MAG AM3 discs are garbage Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden everything else is a waste of time IMO

there's already a donation system in place click on help in the middle" MAKE A DONATION "

with the files on the hard drive open IMGburn go to build mode output the files to an ISO and then switch to write mode and burn it you dont need all the other programs ,also any dvd causes problems with verifying discs and you get a warning in the IB log.
PS read the guides its all covered step by step and pictures

copy and paste ,find the info you want to copy, hold the left mouse button down and run the mouse over all the text you want to copy untill it becomes highlighted when it is right click the mouse and choose copy ,hit add reply in this forum and when the cursor is blinking right click the mouse and click paste done
the discs have nothing to do with IMGburn compatibility wise its your drive that will have issues with the media
the firmware (instructions for the drive ) you're running is the one it was sold with and its quite a few versions behind and needs updating, to do this open IB and in the destination box right click on your SONY 710 a menu will open and the last line is firmware update click on it ,it will show your firmware version and then go through the steps and you will download the newest firmware open the file and with the falsher utility load the newest instructions for your drive
the info in the IB window should look like this

the inkjet printable discs are always a little more expensive if you can find them look for discs that are 2.4x to 4x they might be a little less expensive, you dont need 8x discs because you're going to burn at 2.4x the best speed for Dual Layer discs
I've never seen Verbatim discs with anything other than MCC dye
-
Sony DVD-R's
in Chat
dont have a clue ,I've never seen anything like it ,Sony discs are very hit and miss with different drives we only reccommend Verbatim and Yudens its all I use and haven't made a coaster in years sometimes a sale of so so media turns out to be pretty expensive .
when you burn a few could you come back and post a log so we can see whats up with them
-
Dell might be getting wise to their less than great service, when they start to be nice its usually means that they saw a drop in sales and someone said gee we seem to be getting a lot of complaints then your experience could be the 1 in 10000
-
its not the media that accepts 2.4x its your drives firmware that only supports that speed .Look for newer firmware and some different discs your drive doesn't like them very much
-
and the power to make them go away so people now think I'm hearing voices
-
I heard you the first time missed the minus bit
-
since its a laptop you would be better off with a burner in an external inclosure hooked to the laptop with a USB cable, you could put any burner in an inclosure the Pioneer 112 or 111d are good drives
Google external dvd burners and external dvd burner inclosures to give you an idea
-
it only works after you burn something to the disc
-
let IB format the disc once and you wont have to do it again and you shold be able to rewrite it over and over with no issues
-
just took a look at her gallery some cool stuff there she's real talented thanks for the link

Texas was the same you would need an overcoat in the morning and by 10am it was climbing into the 90's boot camp really sucked
-
Yeah I could say it but I'd be lying like a cheap rug, best Lightning storms I've ever seen were in Texas ,a real light show
-
-
yeah its dropped to the high sixties in West Palm Beach ,I'm thinking of burning the furniture for heat or maybe wait till tomorrow when It'll get back to about 80
-
just a heads up we dont discuss ripping copyright protected discs here for legal reasons it was the reason decrypter(ripping ability) was shut down and the legal problems LUK ran into and we dont want the same to happen to IMGburn
-
using Memorex is a waste of time and money the -R are more than likely CMC MAG dye(garbage). Like you posted the Verbs play fine becaause they are quality media and along with Taiyo Yudens are the best bar none . We see hundreds of posts with people having problems with Memorex SL and DL, they are known to deteriorate over time and the chopy playback pixilayion is just part of the proccess of them breaking down .Hopefully you will be able to read them and salvage the data/video you have on them
-
You could donate the $300 or so bucks they cost ,and as LUK loves hardware it might happen

Media: Aone DVD+R DL
Verbatim is the ONLY media ( DL) that works right, you had 5 good ones fair enough but the next 10 can be bad before you get another good one ,there is also a playback issue with cheap media, after awhile it cant be read or when played freezes , pixilates etc
if it doesn't read any discs then try a lens cleaner but maybe its gone bye bye, it happens but its probably new enough to get it replaced
