  1. If you want my latest conspiracy theory, check out my post talking about Jack Valenti. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1349 Now, part of it is true. But, once I get past the fact that it is Jack Valenti in the photo (And he is there.) the rest is but funny.
  2. Wow... I don't know how it happened, but, I got the front page of Tehran Times itself, instead! I was reading an article called "Western media?s smoke and mirrors" from the actual Tehran Times' site... I clicked on that story as it was the one of the 3 that sounded the most like what I was supposed to be reading. So, my bad there.
  3. Well, it's obviously propoganda. WHY, for something called the Tehran Times, is it in English? Why would they be seeking out advertising revenues, too?
  4. Connie Sewer. She was a foul mouth porn star from the early 1990's. Connie Suer. She was a rabid prosecuting attorney who successfully nailed Connie Sewer. First in real life for evasion of taxes and then in a bizarre twist in her one turn as a porn actress doing Connie Sewer in a film.
  5. Well, the moral may be pretty good. But, I don't recommend passing off legend as facts to tell it. Regardless of the case. As for your mother, you're right, I didn't mean it that way. I was pointing it out because, you have to admit, when we do state something as a true story and it must be true because our mother told us, it's funny when it's revealed not to be, right? And, we've all been there. It's embarassing at the time, but, it should... should ...make you laugh afterwards when you look back. Which begs the question, how did your mother find out? Does she receive e-mail on a regular basis? Or was she told this? Or do you even know, I guess is the best place to start asking. As for mothers telling stories, I offer this one from my reply to Movie_Junkie's original post: "I remember how my mother fell for a story being spread around. With her, though, interestingly enough, the story actually happened only because someone else was tricked before her. It was the story of how a year after 9-11, people were warned not to drink Coke products, or Pepsi, or what not. That another attack was planned then, and, someone repays a "kind soul for an act of kindness" by warning of them, cryptically, of the impending attack. My mother helped someone by providing them some change at a check out counter at the store when they were short a few pennies. Apparently, the person who she helped had fallen for the story of an impending attack and told her not to drink Coke products on the first anniversary of 9-11 because they had been told the same thing. So, yes, the story in this case really DID happen. But, only because someone else was fooled into believing it before and that drove the actual event into creation. Sadly, my mother didn't drink any Coke products, she later told me. When she told me of it, trying to warn me, I told her it was ridiculous and planned on drinking an extra Coke on the anniversary. And, I did." Because, for the Coke story, IF someone actually KNEW of such an attack... AND YOU DON'T TELL THE GOVERNMENT?! Sheesh! So, it has to be just spreading panic, and therefore false. I drank the extra Coke because I look for any excuse to drink an extra Coke. If it makes you feel any better, Movie_Junkie's post also said "This is not a joke, it's true!" But, such is the effect of urban legends. Everyone falls for them at some time.
  6. This is an URBAN legend! It NEVER happened! http://www.snopes.com/rumors/budweiser.asp It is NOT a true story. Never was, no matter whose mother it came from. It wasn't true back when Movie_Junkie posted here about it, either.
  7. Another one of my stolen ideas! I came up with similar concepts 14 years ago with the idea of self heating and self eating burittoes.
  8. This just surprised me... Take a look at this famous news photo: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1...ndonjohnson.jpg Lyndon Johnson accepting the Oath Of Office for the US Presidency on Air Force One. Take a look at the man on the far left, sitting under the light and fan unit, next to the standing man in suit and bow tie, behind the bowl of flowers. I never knew it before! But, once I see it, it IS him. That's Jack Valenti, the 2nd most recent head of the MPAA! It all makes sense now! Jack Valenti, "special assistant" to the Johnson administration... he travelled back in time, told his past self about the future of, and in, Hollywood, and retroactively worked his younger self's way into a position of political power so he can affect the future! To give Hollywood more political power and make it easier to pass the DMCA and other chokeholds! Clever! Clever by half! Who knows... Jack Ruby... OR JACK VALENTI?!
  9. Yes, this installer displays the problems of the last 3, at least. It is super slow, it will bitch that there is a problem with your Nero install, when there isn't; just click OK and the installer goes. Albeit like molasses. It will "disappear" from the screen sometimes and will appear to have stopped working due to its slow run. But, what can we expect? These are the same people who introduced, refuse to acknowledge, and won't repair the major error caused by their DVD-R DL engine in both NBR and Recode, that affects on Recode, e.g. regardless of the app installed. i.e. you can install an older Recode, but, install a latest NBR and Recode inherits the problem from Recode.
  10. K-9 GETS HIS OWN SHOW! And, no, it's not "K-9 & Company: The Next Generation." http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=0&id=35801 We do get some Jetix Europe shows on Jetix on Toon Disney in America. Including one Simon Furman wrote an episode for. So, maybe we'll get "K-9 Adventures?" Coming soon: "Dalek Adventures!" "GIVE ME COO-KIES OR I WILL EX-TER-MIN-ATE YOU!"
  11. Nope. I don?t remember seeing it. Even if I did see it... I didn?t see it. LOL! Pass me another beer, please. Ah, EXCELLENT! The nanobots I have been gradually slipping into your drinks are working! They are selectively erasing memories of my choosing as well as increasing your desire for more of my poisoned drinks! The time for the final assault is near!
  12. How could I forget the almighty clip art? I didn't include the Bob because if you are already worshipping Bob, you don't need an alternative to God. UNLESS you're blaspheming Bob and saying that people need an alternative to Bob?
  13. I had not heard of this before, either. My thanks as well!
  14. Oh, didn't I make a post or 2 on a similar subject back in the Beta forum? That I hadn't done anything to change the image to my knowledge, but, it said there was a mismatch in the label field area. That it wasn't actually an error. I forget the exact details.
  15. No prob! We do our best.
  16. It's on the books. But, it's something that will be in the future, so, there's no target date on it, as far as I know. Last I had heard, LUK needs to dig into those images and see how they work. Sometimes, we just need to roll up our sleeves, code some test runs, and just learn by feeling around.
  17. Probably has something to do with Folder2ISO and DVD-Video images. I know from my past tests that Folder2ISO did NOT produce a DVD that played in a standalone DVD player, even when I used both VIDEO_TS filled with compliant files that played on a standalone, and including AUDIO_TS. So, that's probably where the miscompare is coming from. Whatever Folder2ISO is doing is not doing it right for DVD-Video. It appears to only make data DVD's.
  18. Oh, when you say a CD image of an album he wants remixed. That implies it's an audio CD/music CD/CD-A/some music CD format CD, right? That's probably the problem. Multi-track images, which CD Audio discs are, is not supported yet by ImgBurn.
  19. It looks like one of those extended ANSI characters we old :fart:s used to use to program moving targets in GWBASIC games.
  20. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
  21. Someone ELSE fooling around with the Label fields as much as I do?! Oh, my god! It must be the end of the world!

You should have known Arthur Treacher is NOT on ANY Pound note in the history of Earth Prime.

Let's face it... if ANYONE has a right to have a press in their basement, it's a Minter!

The only really valuable $2 bills are the Star Note series. But, any starred serial bill have a value in the future because of what they are: replacements for an error at the mint. Since minting errors are rare, the star noted series depict that an error did occur in that serial's run. (The star in the serial just means it was a reprint for a bill. To keep the serial numbers and runs straight, a star is added to make a unique identifier AND not have to worry about missing serial numbers.) Since $2's aren't printed and demand doesn't look like any will be for some time, starred $2's can only go up in value. Because of the rarity of errors at the mint, even starred $1 bills have an inherent collector's value. I don't know if I still have that starred $1 bill my father gave me. I kept it for a while, I know, but, I am not sure whether I eventually spent it. If I did, I regret it because I didn't know that even relatively new, small bills with stars generally go up in value because of what they mean.
