  1. Looks as an old burner to me. Released 2004? Doubt you find any new firmware that supports your current brand of discs. Perhaps buy the same burner as your cousin have?
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, mezlock! The media is rated 8x, but it can be that LG when they wrote the firmware decided that the burning results with speeds above 4x with that media went crappy so they just allowed 4x speed as max. Also possible that they still haven't added the 8x speed for that firmware in their latest firmware. Will perhaps be released in an upcoming firmware version.
  3. The message in the link is the new one for the 2.4.1.0 release.
  4. You should have selected No and made a split. ImgBurn will not do it for you, so you must have read that wrong. If you use the latest version 2.4.1.0 - ImgBurn will tell you where to make the split. Then following this guide should make it easy for you. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376 The .mds file is the one that holds the information about the layer break position in the ISO file. The .mds file is created automatically for you and it's that one you should pick the next time you burn a double layer disc. I suggest that you only let DVDFlick output the final files and skip the automatic burn and instead load the final files from DVDFlick into the Build mode of ImgBurn. That lets you be in charge of the burning process.
  5. Yes, as it's an OEM, put it in the advanced feature also as you described.
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum, Ado! You should ensure that these settings are changed/enabled in the Build modes settings. Also that this is added (from your guide).
  7. Yes, that's why it sounded odd that it should work.
  8. Tried to go in to Main Menu -> Tools -> Drive -> Change Book Type and set DVD-ROM back to 'Normal'.
  9. All of them. Guess the OP was to lazy to write it all.
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum, b kilburn! Main Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> tab 'Registry' Select ISO and make it to associate with ImgBurn. As it is now they are associated with WinRar and shows up as own by that program. But the file extension should still be .iso. Perhaps you have 'hide file extensions' enabled in Windows?
  11. I also saw one suggestion to copy the stuff together as That last one sounded so easy, so I have no clue if it will work or not. But according to the poster it works.
  12. Did you select 'Drive (For +R Media)' or 'Drive (For +R Media EEPROM!)? The later one is if you want to change it forever and the first one will only apply until your restart the computer. Or do you get the error as soon as you select one of those? If you have more than one writer installed - check that the right one is selected first in the 'Write mode' window, before you use the 'Change Book Type' function. Selected 'DVD-ROM' in this one?
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, Jahz! There is an old discussion about your issue in this thread: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=569 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1690
  14. As this question involves ripping, I would suggest that you post the question in the CloneDVD forum instead, as the British law makes it tricky to help you. Your files can not be burned as a compliant DVD Video project as they are now.
  15. What option in the set booktype function did you select (next write/current disc/drive/drive-EEPROM)?
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, coronaextra! Can you post a burning log from one of the discs that had playback problems? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, ChiBulls2315! You have the same burner as my first one. Can you post the full log from the latest burn? You find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs Running Windows XP? If you right click on the icon for ImgBurn on your desktop and select Properties. There are some settings that can make it run in 256 colors. Just to rule out that such a setting is enabled.
  18. Could it be because it was already installed?
  19. In Build mode it's possible to not create the AUDIO_TS folder.
  20. Curious. Is it an old version you have installed? Virtual Clone Drive v5.2.0.2.
  21. You should find plenty of stuff on how to make the PS2 play xvid thru a search with Google.
