  1. ImgBurn has nothing to do with that company.
  2. It's not the most common media code and there are no other write speeds to try, so no.
  3. Your drive doesn't like that brand/media code. Try with another brand. Verbatims usually works best.
  4. 2x as speed is not even an option.
  5. Can't find any later firmware so the only thing is to try the 3x write speed also. The Z drive is probably a system partition and the FAT32 thing shouldn't affect your issues.
  6. Can you post the full log? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632
  7. The Verbatims seems to work and the other low quality brand gives you isues. I would stick with Verbatim.
  8. If it fails even with the Verbatims, I would go for a new burner.
  9. Can you switch to read mode and insert a blanc disc and then post the disc info in the right window panel?
  10. Not the highest quality on those discs and that usually indicates what you see in your log. Sometimes they work and sometimes the just give errors. Might try one of the lower write speeds. Another possible reason for the new failure rate is that the laser beam is dirty. A cleaning disc might help.

    Cd's

If they are not protected, yes.
  12. Normally the .mds file contains the type of disc you used as source. (DVD/Blu-ray/CD). It also holds the layer break if it's a DL DVD. Other than that it holds the source file .iso name. If you are using FAT32 it also holds the including split 1 GB chunks files. When you use Build mode and get no .mds file - you probably just created a single layer disc.
  13. Usually the AD-52xxS series are a bit cheaper and if you don't write to DVD-RAM discs they are nice. Just avoid the the 7220 serie as they are rebadged Lite-Ons.
  14. Sometimes the brands changes media codes. Also if it worked before, a cleaning disc can help.
  15. I would say no. That media code and you burner is not a good combination from what I've seen on various forums. The Ritek code is used on several low budget discs and some are better and some are worse. Apparently the discs you use are no good with your burner. Switch to better media or get a burner that likes those discs. Your burner is not one of the best that Lite-On has shipped. Sorry but true.
  16. There is a special offer this weekend to download the latest version for free. http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download Tried the 2.4x write speed?
  17. Curious. Why did you abort it?
  18. Hej! I have the same burner and I never liked it. Perhaps give it a try on 6x or 8x as write speed. PS. Hope you don't buy those Verbatims in Sweden. The tax makes the price a joke.
  19. Not sure why you bought it. ImgBurn is freeware and can't copy protected discs.
  20. If you put the iso as sourcce it gives you a message that it will load the .dvd file for you. So you should select the .dvd file as source when you burn the image.
  21. If it's a Blu-ray disc, you need a Blu-ray reader.
  22. Can you switch to read mode and insert the disc and then post the disc info in the right panel of that window?
  23. Sure you have the latest chipset drivers for the mother board installed? Blame the firmware. Lowest write speed is 4x.
  24. A rebadged Optiarc 7540A.
