  1. Beta testers would also need one I don't think these are available in UK without importing as I looked at them when you first mentioned them, they have a big price tag in UK as well.
  2. I posted a link in here to a dvd player in states that is multiregion / multi format Ntsc/Pal was very cheap as well. I would never buy tv or dvd that did not do both formats or rather the 2 variants of ntsc that i know of and pal and maybe the other specs to pal
  3. Your Sony drive does not like that media. The TDK writer likes them even less. Those drives are surely getting on a bit. Maybe time to buy a newer model or look for some decent 4x media. Would still be worth looking into dma issues though. Eg removing the controller as per the FAQ

  5. so it's not just me then I PMed him about it as I suspected I was getting packet loss. Seems Zen hosting is hosed.
  6. A card reader will work, as i see it jack cannot get the usb of the cam to be recognised by PC, the SD card will be readable in card reader or Linux if the worst comes to the worst. Sorry jack ebayer did not respond as of yet anyways.

    Time to get new hard drive and or a new motherboard. Is drive not under warranty ?

  10. jack you tried connecting the usb to pc yeah and because you had no driver it got no further. you tried using a Sony usb driver as in specify the hardware at driver install and pick from device and manufacturer.

  18. They have them back in stock well they did when I bought 1 earlier 1 per customer though.
