Oh well, you guys don't have exclusive right to dopes in power. Our recently elected Prime Minister was photographed last summer at The Calgary Stampede (a huge fair & rodeo) wearing a cowboy hat the wrong way round (which isn't considered cool anywhere, unlike dick-head hats), and a leather vest that may have fit him in high school, but now risked taking out an eye with a torn button. Having said that he didn't shoot a 78 year old

On another note, last Saturday we brought home a baby Golden Retriever. He was born Christmas day and doesn't answer to the name of Murphy, he thinks his name is Hey You!I have a 22lb black cat, female, named Schmee, she thinks her name is Fat Bitch , not really her fault though, I encourage her "weight problem", between her and me, we bomb the scales. Have to weigh her alone, which is rather like trying to piggyback a chicken

What a story, heard it on the radio this aft'noon, started laughing so hard I almost drove off the road! And this guy is second in command?

Unfortunately in Canada it's a regular occurance to walk out of there stiff legged pulling up your pants, wondering what just happened experience. ONLY deal I've found is Verb 16X +R's, 25 for $15CAD, which really isn't that special. Never seen their brand named stuff on sale, but I don't check it often anymore either.

Happy Birthday dontasciime !! By my math this is the last good Bday before the big 40 , enjoy it!

Looks like a media issue, try some different discs if you can.
-
No problem!
-
Use DVDShrink, on the File dropdown, select open disc img, then re-author, and repeat for each ISO.
-
I built it about a year ago now, really happy with it. Got a nice fast FSB, put a second sata HDD in a while ago, which really sped up my processing time on video content.

An AMD Athlon 64 3400, skt 939.
-
Maybe that's the problem, after I downloaded the latest Plextools it defaulted back to autostarting, and I haven't taken the time to disable it yet, I just turn it off.
-
Haven't checked your MB specs closely JMet, I know my Asus K8V requires you to use slots 1 & 3(blue) if using 2 sticks, and you can't have 3 sticks. 1, 2 or 4. I upgraded to 2GB, 4X 512mb 3200 400mhz, unfortunately didn't really notice any difference when going from 1GB to 2GB, big dif. in 512 to 1Gb though.

I like the way you think LFC . I wonder if it has the option to make them forced subtitles? You could then have miscellaneous pop-ups of "so & so is a wanker!" jumping up embarrassing whoever you may give the disc too .
-
Like LFC said, the BenQ 1655 will stay set as rom if you do it in Qtools, however my Plex 716 needs to be set each re-start. Can't find an option in Plextools unfortunately.
-
Confidence is the key there Kirk, it's her loss if she says no, so it's a no lose situation for yourself.
-
I've had good luck burning those at 6X with a Plex 716, scan and verify well.
-
-
That's not what I wanted to hear at all LFC! But I do appreciate the heads up, and good thing to hear it now with most unburned, rather than with 100 questionable discs.

Best Mr. Burns voice on: "Excellent"
Looking forward to it's release, and thanks to LUK and the Beta Team who're working hard on it.
-
A request. Would it be possible to change burn speeds when changing discs while using the Que? Reason being I quite often will use different media while using the que, and while I like to burn some at max, others i do not. For example TYG02's I prefer to burn at 8X but not 16X, where as some Verbs & sometimes TYG03's(depending on the burner) I'll go 16X.

Always thought it would be fun to screw with subtitles, do a running mockery Mystery Science Theatre 3000 style .
-
I picked up some Ricoh branded +R's with the RICOHJPN-R01-02 media id, rated at 8X though. Are of the shiny silver printable nature, although it says pearl white on the spindle. Seem to print well with certain labels, giving it a bit of a holographic look, others don't look that good.
Seem like decent enough quality, and being very easy on the wallet helps.
