  1. What is old is new again. In the words of Daffy Duck... "Ridicule is the Burden of Genius."
  2. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2007/04/06/1175366446190.html Bikini-wearing fireman charged A man wearing a woman's wig and a string bikini has been charged with taking a drunken afternoon romp through a park in Ohio, in the United States, officials said. Steven Cole, a 46-year-old volunteer firefighter, told an officer he was on his way to a bar to perform as a woman in a contest offering a $US10,000 ($A12,240) prize, the arrest report said. He pleaded not guilty to charges of drunken driving, public indecency and disorderly conduct. Cole was arrested Tuesday after police received a report that an intoxicated man was walking and driving around Heritage Oak Park in Mason. Police said Cole was wearing a blond wig, pink thongs and a red-black-and-white striped bikini with the top filled out by tan water balloons. His blood-alcohol test registered 0.174, more than twice Ohio's legal driving limit of 0.08, the arrest report said. "He is obviously humiliated and embarrassed by the entire situation," said Cole's lawyer, Charlie Rittgers, who added that he is investigating the circumstances that led to the arrest. Cole did not return a call seeking comment. He remained free on his own recognisance until trial, set for May 24. Cole has been a Wayne Township firefighter since 2000. Township officials said he will be placed on administrative leave. Steven Cole has been charged with public indecency and disorderly conduct. Photo: AP
  3. ImgBurn verifies byte by byte. Whatever is on the duplicate will be verified both against the source for consistancy and the target itself for readability. Hope this helps.
  4. Hello and welcome. I fell asleep after reading the first paragraph of that seemingly endless diatribe. Right after he said "Another very good reason for +R DL discs to be NFG is that they are NOT DVD-Video format, and as such tend to expect the layers 0 and 1 to be of equal size." The fact that layer 0 (the top layer) *MUST* contain more information than layer 1 (the lower layer) in order to be playable in a standard DVD player seems to have been overlooked by our knowledgeable friend. I honestly don't understand the need to go through all the outlined steps just to create a DVD. ImgBurn will happily preserve the layerbreak from the original or adjust it as you wish.
  5. I have too much time on my hands. Besides, Donta started it.

Happy birthday, ya old fart! Have a great day!!
  7. Hello. Regardless of what the brand name of the media is, what's important is the dye used which can be found in the media ID above. CMC media rates about 1 out of 10 as far as quality goes. They really are garbage. I see you've bought some Verbatims which are pretty much all we use here. The CMCs would be best just to be thrown into the bin and written off as a lesson learned. In the experience of everyone here they have a 99% failure rate - whether that's immediately failing to verify or failing after a week, a month or a few months. They really are *that* bad. Chuck 'em out and just use the Verbs or Taiyo Yudens if you can find them.
  8. A power calibration error is usually caused by bad media or an incompatibility with your drive and media. Get some Verbatim DL media. They're the only ones we use and should fix your problem.
  9. Post your logs so we can see what's going on. Help menu > ImgBurn Logs

  11. 1. In the beginning there existed only the God Of The Hop. and thine god did enjoy self flagellation. and thine god did whip himself into a frenzy. and the frenzy did create beer. and the beer was good. 2. and thou beatific whipping boy did create Shamus. and Shamus did ask thine provider for a free beer. and the creator of foamings suds, the divine distiller, the prognosticator of the beverage cooler, said: 3.
  12. Why is it that religious zealots insist on trying to save the souls of the rest of us? Inadaquacy within themselves or repentance for committing acts that we atheists have managed to avoid? Heaven is a place reserved for exactly 144,000 Jews and nobody else, so there's no point kidding yourself about getting there. {Revelation 7:4} Hell is a place we are all going to go. {Matthew 7:13-50} The good news is you're going to hell with the rest of us - right after you've cut off your own hands and feet and plucked out your own eyes. {Mark 9:43-48} Philippians? Now I know you're getting desperate. Philippians is little more than a letter from Paul of Tarsus recounting what he thinks this jesus person did. Paul of Tarsus (later St Paul the Apostle) never had contact with jesus or any other fictional characters. And those of us who like to see before we believe are to be punished for it. {John 15:16} Go fuck yourself. {Shamus 1:3}
  13. As the guys have said above, it's not actually an error. It's your harddrive being unable (for one reason or another) to supply enough data to your burner to get a consistant high speed. Whether it's from a highly fragmented drive, sharing an IDE channel, a dodgy ribbon cable, a slow harddrive or something else is anyones' guess. Slowing your burn speed down will fix this. Whatever the problem, ImgBurn is reporting it - not causing it. Have a poke around inside your PC and have a look how everything is connected.
  14. Ritek media is pretty dodgy. A few years ago they made great media. These days they make crap. Go with what Locoeng said and get some Verbatims.

Happy birthday, you old fart! Hope you have a great day!
  16. This introduces more possibility for errors. People have already reported problems when using Daemon Tools and ImgBurn together. What part of "ImgBurn is a burning program and not a conversion program" is causing you difficulty? Rudimentary skills in reading and comprehension would serve you well if you took the time to learn them. You've been told previously that you're welcome to go and write your own program instead of bitching about the shortcomings of this one. That offer still stands.

  19. *shrug* Calling my ex a witch wouldn't have achieved anything. Just another passing insult to be forgotten 5 seconds later. Sending her the broom and the hat did the trick though.
  20. Nope. No inflatable dollies for Shamus. I had to give them up when the cost of repairing the friction burns got too expensive.
  21. Get her a straw broom and a black pointy hat for her birthday and have it delivered via courier. Best $60 I ever spent.
  22. LOL!!! I love insult generators. Good find!
  23. I would guess this is also illegal. At least here in Australia anyways. The only exception I can think of would involve DRM of some sort to stop the tv show in question being distributed via torrents or whatever. Also, some tv shows are shown on cable/satellite months before free-to-air. I suspect these shows would be allowed to be recorded for personal use but distribution would also be prohibited. Dunno. I'm not a lawyer.
  24. Please have a look at the FAQ.
