Hello,
Hello.
I 13:14:06 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AM3) (Speeds: 1x, 2x)Regardless of what the brand name of the media is, what's important is the dye used which can be found in the media ID above. CMC media rates about 1 out of 10 as far as quality goes. They really are garbage. I see you've bought some Verbatims
which are pretty much all we use here. The CMCs would be best just to be thrown into the bin and written off as a lesson learned. In the experience of everyone here they have a 99% failure rate - whether that's immediately failing to verify or failing after a week, a month or a few months. They really are *that* bad. Chuck 'em out and just use the Verbs or Taiyo Yudens if you can find them.

Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D00-01) (Speeds: 2.4x)
A power calibration error is usually caused by bad media or an incompatibility with your drive and media. Get some Verbatim DL media. They're the only ones we use and should fix your problem.

Why is it that religious zealots insist on trying to save the souls of the rest of us? Inadaquacy within themselves or repentance for committing acts that we atheists have managed to avoid?
The Holy Bible describes Heaven as a beautiful place where people live forever with no death, sorrow, sickness and pain. {Revelation 21:4}Heaven is a place reserved for exactly 144,000 Jews and nobody else, so there's no point kidding yourself about getting there. {Revelation 7:4}
Hell is described as a place of suffering forever for all those who are not saved. {Matthew 13:50}Hell is a place we are all going to go. {Matthew 7:13-50}
The good news is that about 2000 years ago Jesus Christ(God the Son) paid for everyone's sins or wrong doing by dying on the cross and rising from the dead after three days. {Mark 10:34}The good news is you're going to hell with the rest of us - right after you've cut off your own hands and feet and plucked out your own eyes. {Mark 9:43-48}
God the Son came as a sinless man. {Philippians 2:5-8}Philippians? Now I know you're getting desperate. Philippians is little more than a letter from Paul of Tarsus recounting what he thinks this jesus person did. Paul of Tarsus (later St Paul the Apostle) never had contact with jesus or any other fictional characters.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto God(The Father), but by me." {John 14:6} He is our ONLY way to God(The Father) in Heaven.And those of us who like to see before we believe are to be punished for it. {John 15:16}
The Holy Bible says, "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God(The Father) raised Jesus Christ from the dead, you will be saved." {Romans 10:9}Go fuck yourself. {Shamus 1:3}

I'm getting a lot of errors during burning. It slows burning down quite some bit. This is the (part of) the log:
As the guys have said above, it's not actually an error. It's your harddrive being unable (for one reason or another) to supply enough data to your burner to get a consistant high speed. Whether it's from a highly fragmented drive, sharing an IDE channel, a dodgy ribbon cable, a slow harddrive or something else is anyones' guess. Slowing your burn speed down will fix this. Whatever the problem, ImgBurn is reporting it - not causing it.
Have a poke around inside your PC and have a look how everything is connected.

I 23:14:35 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 2.4x)
Ritek media is pretty dodgy. A few years ago they made great media. These days they make crap. Go with what Locoeng said and get some Verbatims.

Importing images into build mode and deleting files can be done bu mounting the appropriate image with Daemon Tools.
This introduces more possibility for errors. People have already reported problems when using Daemon Tools and ImgBurn together.
What part of "ImgBurn is a burning program and not a conversion program" is causing you difficulty? Rudimentary skills in reading and comprehension would serve you well if you took the time to learn them.
The suggestions, seem, to me, to be a lotta work to satisfy little demand.On what basis can you say it would be a lot of work to satisfy little demand? I think most of the work has been done and it would be as easy as plugging one piece of existing code (ISO write) into another piece of existing code (build mode). Please explain.You've been told previously that you're welcome to go and write your own program instead of bitching about the shortcomings of this one. That offer still stands.

*shrug* Calling my ex a witch wouldn't have achieved anything. Just another passing insult to be forgotten 5 seconds later. Sending her the broom and the hat did the trick though.
-
Nope. No inflatable dollies for Shamus. I had to give them up when the cost of repairing the friction burns got too expensive.
-
Get her a straw broom and a black pointy hat for her birthday and have it delivered via courier. Best $60 I ever spent.

Congratulations! You have just proved the theory that there is no limit to human stupidity.
LOL!!!
I love insult generators. Good find!

What about TV episodes downloaded from the internet ? These have been broadcast so is it ok for me to d/l and burn those to disc ?
I would guess this is also illegal. At least here in Australia anyways. The only exception I can think of would involve DRM of some sort to stop the tv show in question being distributed via torrents or whatever. Also, some tv shows are shown on cable/satellite months before free-to-air. I suspect these shows would be allowed to be recorded for personal use but distribution would also be prohibited. Dunno. I'm not a lawyer.

Re: Your players' compatibility - honestly, who the hell knows? Typing the model number into Google might be an idea. You may find something or nothing. As I said, the cheap and nasty players really work. Having said that, the players here in Australia are expected to play both PAL and NTSC. It seems the USA lags in this area. The fact that your DVD plays fine on your PC makes me suspect (and I could be wrong), that your players have a region code restriction on them. (If it were a PAL/NTSC problem your DVD would probably play but the picture would be in black and white). Not living in the USA makes this theory difficult to test.

Agreed. A burn @ 8x is still going to be completed in under 10 minutes on single layer media. The quality will be good, it'll verify properly and everyone will be happy. At 16x you're asking the burner to write something like 22MB/sec which is alot. BTW, I just had a quick look at your forum and it looks pretty snappy.
ImgBurn for DL Vs. GPME + IFOedit

Hello and welcome.
I fell asleep after reading the first paragraph of that seemingly endless diatribe. Right after he said "Another very good reason for +R DL discs to be NFG is that they are NOT DVD-Video format, and as such tend to expect the layers 0 and 1 to be of equal size." The fact that layer 0 (the top layer) *MUST* contain more information than layer 1 (the lower layer) in order to be playable in a standard DVD player seems to have been overlooked by our knowledgeable friend. I honestly don't understand the need to go through all the outlined steps just to create a DVD. ImgBurn will happily preserve the layerbreak from the original or adjust it as you wish.
