  1. Nice try, but, until the Boss decides to add it you're beating a dead horse like all of the others before....
  2. Not really. We do not support previous editions of ImgBurn and each new revision corrects or adds features, so letting you know that your version is outdated is what we do.
  3. I would start by getting rid of these and purchasing some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs.
  4. db
  5. Erick, we do not support older versions. Update and post a log if it fails. spinner
  6. Get an external USB full size drive.
  7. Nayneedshelp, where are you located and exactly what do you want to get? If in the States you can go to www.meritline.com or www.newegg.com or a couple other online stores that have a good reputation. For brick and mortar stores you'll pay more and have a smaller selection but you won't have to wait for the delivery. spinner
  8. You want a question answered, but you prefer not to do as requested. Good Luck.
  9. Second hint: Post a log!
  10. This line in the log shows what the MID is as well as speeds that your burner will burn the disc at and type of disc.
  11. Now that's a great Buckeye first post
  12. Great first post!
  13. For what you want to do, re-read post #3. ImgBurn is a burning program, not an authoring program, and you need an authoring program to do what you want to do.
  14. Post a log, read the pink bit at the top.
  15. OK we'll have to wait for someone else to come online that's more familiar with BluRay than I am, check back in later this evening or possibly in the morning and hopefully someone will be able to better figure this out. spinner You can see who is online by looking at the bottom of the forums home page.
  16. I don't do BD here, but can't you erase/format the disc before use?
  17. According to the manufacturer the player should work with a BD-RE disc, so I would look at how you made the image for one thing and also try a different disc manufacturer. Post a copy of the burn log also. Why didn't you allow ImgBurn to verify the burn? The updated firmware may support the 2.4 speed if it was rated at 2.0 on the box.

  19. It means that the disc cannot be read by the drive for some reason or another. Dirty disc, firmware/disc conflict, drive laser dirty, etc. Do a google and you'll find a ton of posts relating to the problem, and a ton of solutions. Basically it's an I/O error and they most always deal with the drive/firmware/media combination.
  20. Theas are your available speeds: I 21:55:20 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x) Try the other speeds, try a cleaning disc on the drive. I couldn't find a firmware update for the Optiarc.
  21. It's really up to your firmware as to what speeds the disc will burn. Since you did not supply a copy of the log, as required by the pink bit above, I can only assume that your drive will burn the Verbs the slowest speed at 4x.
  22. When I use Verbs I use these: http://www.meritline.com/verbatim-8x-dvd-plus-r-media-95052---p-18460.aspx When I use Taiyo Yuden/JVC I use these: http://www.meritline.com/jvc-dvd-r-8x-silver-thermal-lacquer-jdmr-zz-sb8---p-44989.aspx They're not the fastest discs available from their respective manufacturers, but I like to stick with what I'm comfortable with. TY/JVC are the ones I use the most though, since I don't do discs that require either a + or - type disc. Hope this helps. spinner
