It just seems to me there is an increasing number of threads of "I can't copy (insert name of game or DVD) with ImgBurn".
Agreed...just look at the ones that were posted within the last 24 hours. And I'm really starting to love the ones with..."but I used (crappy) media for the last X burns and it worked fine...it can't be my media...yadda yadda yadda...Just one question then:
Why come here and ask if you're not willing to admit that you screwed up and need to do something different that what you are doing?????
FFS..we test more media than a porn shop and can't get a simple "thanks. I'll try that suggestion and let you know what happens"

If you're looking for a ripping program, ImgBurn is not what you want and we don't discuss piracy here, there are enough forums dedicated to that available through a Google search.

Hi and welcome to the forum RE13.
YES you do..it's right here:
I've completely no idea about what's wrong... discs maybe?Get some Verbs or TY's and see if your problem doesn't go away...

I 17:19:46 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AM3) (Speeds: 4x; 8x; 12x; 16x)
It doesn't matter that you used this crap before and it worked. Try following the guidance given to you by mmalves about speeds and changing media without defending what you are doing now since it isn't working anymore. Crap media does tend to fail

Maybe we need a warning on installation that ImgBurn does not do this and is primarily a burning program.
Then we'll get requests to turn off the warning by someone who becomes annoyed by it...but cannot figure out how to use the search function......
-
Do other companies use CMC to make their discs too?
You can't believe the companies that use CMC to make discs for their name brand. CMC is...by far...the biggest problem manufacturer that we see in the DVD marketplace

i will put an xbox360 game in to copy
IngBurn does not copy protected media, try Google, find out how to make an .iso, then ImgBurn will burn the ,iso to your clean disc.
-
trying to make a backup copy of a Wii disk.
As mmalves said, ImgBurn cannot copy protected discs. If you need further info about this subject, use Google. When you have an .iso file, use ImgBurn to burn the .iso to a clean disc.

Quote from your log:
I 01:47:44 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x)Your discs are crap, get the ones we recommend in the post by corny...or put up with hit and miss burns.

I guess I will try the Verbatim discs then.
Wise choice...
-
(to check if the current issue id fixed)? The problem has been fixed for 2.4.3.0.
'Nuff said.....

First of all, when posting, please post a log of the burn in question since it answers a lot of questions that we may have.
Secondly, your drive will only burn at the speeds that it "reads" off of the media MID. Choosing a speed that does not exist will not work as the drive will choose the closest one to what your input is.

TV System Does Not Match."
Google PAL vs. NTSC TV broadcast specs and you'll become an expert in no time....

Your burner does not correctly "see" the media. Try updating your firmware.

in Chat
AJ;
The success of your burn, once burned and verified, is entirely up to the disc. We recommend either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim DataLifePlus made in Singapore because their dye is the best and the data stored there upon is also the safest. No one can guarantee that your data will last for 20 years because, among other factors, there is no guarantee that the optical drives in use now will even be around in 20 years to read the disc.
As far as poor vs. good burners, with the cost of all of them being dirt cheap, invest the extra few $ and buy the best you can. They will last the longest and return your investment back to you in the form of less garbage created and less headaches all around.

I 16:27:11 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AM3) (Speeds: 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x)
Your chouice of media, although not good if really TDK, is made using CMC dye and, as such, are really crap. Get yourself some Taiyo Yuden discs and see if your chances of a successful burn do not increase immensely.
-
1. You have the latest firmware as far as I can find.
2. You are definitely over the 4.7 spec of the disc even by Verb standards, Have you successfully done this on these discs before?
3. Your drive is just about 3 years old, maybe a change is in order if you want to push the disc as far over as you seem to want to do.

Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know what the problem/outcome was.

I 13:49:37 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: CMC MAG-D03-64) (Speeds: 2.4x)
In addition to what the
Boss
said, get some decent discs. We only recommend Verbatim DataLifePlus made in Singapore for DL writing or Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim (Singapore) for single layer writes.

Checked out the clowns at softonic...
Seems you can download IB for $2.99 from their 'guaranteed' pest free server or link out to an external mirror that is free but 'allows' you to use their toolbar plugin with your browser...
What a way to get screwed by a leech company.
