  1. but 'til that day I'm on my own, unfortunately.

    What nonsense...

    We're here to help you to help yourself. The Boss maintains this site and his program, both free to the public while only asking for donations, in order to make your experience with ImgBurn both non-complicated and basically enjoyable, when compared to the many seriously overpriced and bloated programs available. All that he, or any of us ask, is that you take the time to read the guides and FAQ's and learn a little on your own. The Guides and FAQ's were deliberately written to be as close to non-techie as they can be.

    Take the time, read the material and start your own thread if you still have problems please.... :unsure:

  2. Sossity;

    We support ImgBurn and not Roxio, so for those questions.....contact them.

    As far as PAL or NTTSC, what do you normally use in wherever you live and do you send discs to foreign countries that use a format other than yours?

    ImgBurn will burn your Roxio created ISO's just fine.

    Leave ImgBurn on default and you'll be optimized as far as you need to be.

    Use whatever speed you can make a good copy with, only you know what media you're using..... :unsure:

  3. Klou;

    Hi and welcome to the forum.

    A couple things...

    1. Please do not hi-jack someone elses post, start your own thread and we'll get to it just as quickly as we get to any others.

    2. What DVDD did or did not do is of no value to us here. We do not/will not support or discuss that or any other ripper.

    3. ImgBurn will auto-pick the MDS, that's one of its' beauties.

    4. Post a copy of the logfile and a copy of the info that you get in the right hand window when you put a disc into the drive and ImgBurn initializes it...then we can get started with your problem(s)... :thumbup:

  4. I've done hundreds of successful burns with no coasters with verbatims. These were at 2x, maybe I need to lower the speed.

    As corny said, go back to verbs and use the Sony discs for target practice.... :thumbup:

  5. First of all, this belongs in the chat section as it has nothing to do with ImgBurn nor is it an ImgBurn problem.

    You have to go back to how you created the image you are trying to get to play and learn how to use whatever transcoding program you used to make the image on the disc..or...use your remote control to move among the choices you have and select the right one. Assuming that you made the image correctly.

  6. BTW a few months ago my drive stopped reading cd-r

    With the drive refusing to read cd's I wouldn't bother with the firmware updates or anything else. If you look online, or at your nearest big box brick and mortar you'll see that the cost of drives has dropped and they are really inexpensive now. :thumbup:

  7. thanks ill try but ive done over 40 back ups using these disks

    Jake...Jake...Jake...40 backups already and you know it's not your discs because you've had no problems with them. That's excellent...

    Your choice of media was great...at one time...and that time is not now. Ritek has allowed their q/c or something to go out of whack and they are no longer the media that we recommend here. We do hundreds of media tests here...to your 40.. and have only managed to come up with the two mids that we recommend...but...go ahead...stick with yours, but please do let us know how you get on. :rolleyes:

  8. It's nice of you to reply, but you really gave me no good reason for NOT supporting it.

    It's nice of you to suggest your idea and then follow up on your thread. However...requiring reasons for not doing something that the Boss already said he wasn't going to do is kind of not well thought out; and might give a reader the impression that you believe the program should be written to your specs and not the ones set by the program creator. <_<
